網站託管 – Web Hosting

雖然任何人都可以下載和安裝這些軟件，但要應用這些網店軟件，首先你要訂購一個網站託管服務（web hosting service）或服務器，然後把網店軟件安裝其中。

內容傳遞網絡 – CDN

如果網店的目標市場不只是本地市場，還包括其他外國市場的話，那麼還可能需要設置CDN (content delivery network 內容傳遞網絡)。

簡單來說，內容傳遞網絡可以提高外國用戶訪問本地網站的效率，縮短打開網頁的時間。

這點很重要，因為如果用戶載入網頁時間過長，他們可能在載入網頁完畢前已經離開網站，更不要說會在網店上購物。

情形就如你進入了一間實體店後，等了很久也未能看到貨物，而且也沒有人來招呼你，這樣的話相信你很快就會離開店鋪，店鋪便因此白白流失了人流。

技術支援服務

此外，和其他開源軟件一樣，除非購買了技術支援服務，否則是沒有任何支援服務的，店主需要管理和維護自己的網店軟件，包括更新軟件，解決技術、安全和性能等問題，這些工作都需要一定的IT 經驗才能應付。

有些時候，更有可能被黑客攻擊，嚴重可使網站不能運作，甚至不能收款。沒有技術支援，當網店出問題時，店主只能靠自己解決，或上 Google 搜尋辦法，但往往需用上不少時間，而且影響網店營運。
