It's only matter of time before they sniff out their safe-house. With time running low, the enemy moving towards their doorstep, and running out of options, a desperate crew turns to desperate measures. After all, the ends justify the means, don't they? They both certainly think so.
## Chapter Primer
This adventure takes place on board *Robot Dry-Dock 68*, a KONDARU-class orbital installation built by the Nanotrasen Corporation in orbit around the asteroid *Rota Fortuna*.
### Background
Following strategic blunders, and with the Syndicate slipping past the checkpoints heading out of Amantes, Nanotrasen Regional Command begins a paranoid search for anyone who might be disloyal. House clearings and interviews, especially among Bridge and Security officers become common place. Some whisper that this will just be the start in a new series of crackdowns.
Though, it seems the Regional Director has taken a momentary liking to the crew of *Robot Dry-Dock 68* after they managed to return his daughter, Emilija Dean, from the Syndicate. Seemingly emboldened by her return, the Director prepares a special plans for *Robot Dry-Dock 68*.
All the while, more and more battleships and pod carriers stream into the *Rota Fortuna* region, and Nanotrasen expels civilians from the stations in the area...
### Adventure Hooks
***Nanotrasen Employee.*** You are a run-of-the-mill Nanotrasen employee, probably a clone of a clone, and probably not very well paid, but you signed the contract. You were assigned to the station and show up to work in your assigned job.
***Putter***. You are a rag-tag space drifter making a living trading, hauling or mining, either for personal fortune or for the profit of Nanotrasen. You are eager to trade with Nanotrasen, but recent events mean tighter restrictions on trade and travel.
## Appendix A: Amantes Heroes
For years, drifters, hopeful youth and the other residents of Amantes spoke of benevolent vigilantes and detectives who watched over them and protected from the everyday violence and organization of those desolate rocks. While it's unknown who these stories are based on, many claim they are still around, and keeping an over-watching gaze on the criminal gangs and the much feared Syndicate.
