# Status-go Intro

[Status-go](https://github.com/status-im/status-go) is a library written in Go. It compiles to a C Library and is used as a backend for both Status Desktop and [status-react](https://github.com/status-im/status-react) (mobile).

Status Desktop uses status-go through a wrapper [nim-status-go](https://github.com/status-im/nim-status-go)
