# Policies & Guidelines
These are all of the rules & regulations in which all citizens must obey. These rules apply in all aspects of the State of Atlas. Failure to follow these standards and meet expectations will result in moderation action following the [Community Moderation](https://hackmd.io/@stateofatlas/sop#Community-Moderation) protocol.

## [1] DISCORD GUIDELINES
### Section A: Respect
`1A.1` Everyone must be respected at all times. Toxic behaviors are forbidden.
`1A.2` Purposely harassing or targeting other members isn’t allowed. This server has no place for bullying other people. This can result in severe moderation action.
`1A.3` Keep swearing to a low. Swearing is allowed however don’t take it out of hand.
`1A.4` Causing disruption or chaos in other communities is not permitted.

### Section B: Self Promotion/Advertising
`1B.1` Advertising is not allowed in any way, shape or form. This includes but is not limited to DM Advertising, sending invite links, personal YouTube channels, Advertising via voice channel and/or Advertising via Stream/Camera.

### Section C: Privacy & Security
`1C.1` Don't share or give away any personal information. Do not attempt to send harsh files or links that will expose someone's information or damage their device. This will result in a permanent ban.
`1C.2` Do not share resources that are given to you. With the exception of other members, you aren't allowed to share files owned by State of Atlas.
`1C.3` All suspicous activity should be properly reported.
### Section D: Spamming
`1D.1` Spamming is not allowed in any way. Don't send repetitive messages or messages that flood the chat.
`1D.2` English is the only allowed language. This includes phrases over 10 characters long that are a language other than English.
`1D.3` Please use text and voice channels for their designated purpose.
`1D.4` Don't discuss, send or say anything NSFW related or that contains inappropriate content.
### Section E: Identification
`1E.1` Your nickname must be set to your character's first and last name at all times.
`1E.2` Do not impersonate any bots or users. This is acting as if you are someone else. This also applies if you have the same profile picture and username as someone else.
`1E.3` Your username, profile picture and status must be appropriate for all ages.

`1E.5` Your nickname must be set to your Roblox username at all times.
`1E.6` Alternate accounts are forbidden. Having an alternate account in the server is not allowed. Failure to obide by this will result in a removal from the server on both accounts.
`1E.7` You will always be addressed by your roleplay first and last name when applying for departments and such.
### Section F: Miscellaneous
`1F.1` Threats to violate any of the rules is not allowed. For example, "I'm gonna raid the server if I don't get admin!!"
`1F.2` Attempting to troll or cause chaos within the community is not tolerated. This will result in a ban. If your purpose here is to solely cause disruption, you will be removed from the server without hesitance.
`1F.3` For all 3rd party apps/websites, if it asks for your username, you must set it to your Roblox username for easier tracking.
`1F.4` Always follow the Discord Terms of Service.
`1F.5` Do not misuse the ticket system. Only open a ticket if you truly need help with something regarding anything related to State of Atlas.
`1F.6` Do not use the Twitter feature to bypass the chat filter.
### Section G: Community Meetings
`1G.1` You will be required to attend all community meetings.
`1G.2` In the event that you are unable to attend a meeting, you are to fill out the absent memo form.
`1G.3` The absent form must be filled out 24 hours prior to the time of the meeting.
### Section H: Voice Channel Guidelines
`1H.1` Don't make loud and/or annoying noises while in voice channels.
`1H.2` If background noise is an issue for you, please use Push-to-talk or find a work around solution.
`1H.3` Voice changers are not allowed to be use while in a voice channel.
`1H.4` Sound effects are allowed however do not spam them and get it out of control.

All of these rules should be followed while playing the game, regardless of player count and any other interfering variables.

If a player violates a rule in-game, they are to be kicked from the game and striked. If the player continues to break rules, they will be server banned and striked.

### Section A: Roleplay Rules
`2A.1` Every action in-game is to be considered in roleplay. You can only disregard something if a moderator or higher declares it.
`2A.2` Always roleplay realistically. If it can not happen in real life, then don't do it in-game. This also means if it is rare to happen in real life, keep it rare in-game.
`2A.3` Do not purposely ruin roleplay scenes.
`2A.4` You are not immortal to dying or the fear of being hurt. Don’t get tazed multiple times and continue to walk/run as if nothing has happened.
`2A.5` You are not allowed to "disregard" anything. Even if you accidentally crash, you must still roleplay it out.
`2A.6` Obey the new life rule. You are not to return to a roleplay scene until 5 minutes has passed.
`2A.7` Always roleplay out taking out larger weapons. You MUST say it in chat with no exceptions. For example, `*takes out m4*`
`2A.8` Resetting or leaving the game to avoid roleplay is prohibited.
`2A.9` Always follow and abide by Roblox Terms of Service.

### Section B: Types of Roleplays
`2B.1` Limit priorities to only **one** at a time. Before conducting a priority, be SURE that there are no other active priorities. This number may change. Priorities include shootings, robberies, pursuits, etc.
`2B.2` Excessively shooting is not allowed.
`2B.3` No bomb or bomb-related roleplays whatsoever.
`2B.4` Stay away from sexual, racial and homophobic roleplay scenes.

### Section C: Voice Communications
`2E.1` All civilians are not allowed to speak in the TeamSpeak unless you have stolen an emergency service vehicle.
`2E.2` You are REQUIRED to be in the corresponding voice channel for all scenes interacting with another player.

### Section D: Sonoran CAD
`3D.1` All characters must be 18 years of age or higher. No underaged roleplay whatsoever.
`3D.2` Your picture you provide in the CAD must match up with what your Roblox avatar looks like.
`3D.2` All persons must be registered in the cad.
`3D.4` You must have a new character if your character dies. Using an ID of a deceased individual will be considered False Identity.
`3D.5` You must have your username in the cad set to your Roblox username.
`3D.6` Make sure that everything is realistic. Don't enter un-realistic names, ages, etc.
`3D.7` All characters must have their Roblox headshot as their civilian photo. Having other text links in the `Roblox Headshot` box will result in a strike.
`3D.8` To be considered your character, all facial features must be as is. This includes hair, sunglasses, skin color and face.
