* Samantha - Good, but tired. Excited. Wintering is starting to kick-in and looking forward to the Christmas break. Have just sent my first Fellowship related email.

## 2. SSI and Fellows' updates - 20 min [15:10 - 15:30]
_This is an opportunity for Fellows to share/show and tell during our community calls. During this call, we will hear from 1 member of the SSI team and 1 Fellow, who will each have 7 min (+ 3 min Q&A) to introduce themselves and share any updates to the network, such as:_
* _Your Fellowship plans, demos of projects, upcoming events or other activities_
* _Projects for which you are seeking support or collaboration_
* _Life after the Fellowship and how the Fellowship impacted your career_

* The internet in Australia is not as good and more expensive than in Argentina

* China and Japan Feb 27 trip
* Can be longer on a bus to a nearer place than further away with better transport links - impacting where you might want to work
* Some people are planning to go to Antarctica - they are still trying to find a way
* VHF radios might get you to Antarctica
* People avoiding US - due to its policy (e.g. climate is a bad word)
* Some institutions are - don't go if you have to
* Scotland in the world cup has caused some issue - people getting flights cancelled - and then have to re-book at a higher price
