# Weekly Team Update 2022-07-29 ![multiply](https://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/3x9.png) # Highlights of the week The team is starting to kick-off an exciting quarter that drives data informed decisions: * :mega: The first feed experiment showed that users preferred to see their feed ordered chronologically. Based on this, the team worked with **Feed Engineering** to ship :ship: just that - the all new **_Chronological Feed_**. * Speaking of _experiments_, @pemoriarty is setting up the data pipeline to integrate our new experimentation platform ExP with discussions, and :pear: with Discussions to identify new telemetry to log for running experiments :microscope: * @datalie met her target in completing another meaty section of multiple analyses for Octoverse '22. She's knocking stakeholder reviews out of the park :baseball: :stadium: and getting the necessary sign-offs. * @JnBrymn has been working with our summer research intern @lukedram who _successfully_ deployed the new **Rec'n'Roll** Phase I Airflow job. They didn't stop there, they've also found enough support to show that **Rec'n'Roll's** Phase I AzureML component functions **as expected**. * @DataGamer, @bxw11 and @JnBrymn have been working closely with the Discussions team in finalizing requirements and success metrics for starting the user analysis work that will kick off today! * @freddiev4 is [looking at](https://github.com/github/data/issues/2589) defining some telemetry best practices to enable product analytics and experimentation :chart_with_upwards_trend: * @bxw11 has been weeding through the Discussions data and mapping queries to the many different hydro tables to find gaps in what _really_ exists. On top of his detective work, he's been working with @datalie to answer questions on how best to backfill billing data for our friends in **Education**. **Friends of Communities Data:** @siminapasat @nerdneha @ashleywolf @bruce @evi-liu @entcheva @jlord @derekprior @bailey @gracevor @zrdaley @anjuan @gracevor @trevorc-gh @arfon @vikramvk
