Oh lost 14-15 to Bollard Affiti (FRA) in the men's individual final of the Fédération Internationale de Fencing (FIE) Sabre World Cup in Algiers, Algeria, on Sept. 11 (local time). After winning the individual and team gold medals at the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games, Oh continued his momentum at the subsequent national championships with individual and team titles, but failed to reach the podium in his first international event. Nevertheless, it was the first time in seven months that he stood on the podium at an international event organized by the [FIE](http://psicolinguistica.letras.ufmg.br/wiki/index.php/Usu%C3%A1rio_Discuss%C3%A3o:Sportstotomen3) after winning the International Grand Prix in Seoul in April. Teammate Ha Han-sol (Seongnam City Hall) finished 13th and Kim Jae-won (Daejeon University) was 15th. Hangzhou Asian Games individual silver medalist Koo Bon-gil finished 35th. On the women's side, Seo Ji-yeon (Ansan City Hall) was the highest-placed Korean athlete in the individual competition, finishing 21st.
