# South Korean men's and women's dragonboats fail to win 200m as China sweeps

North Korea finished 7th for men and 6th for women

Both the Korean men's and women's dragonboat teams failed to reach the 200-meter podium at the [Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games.](https://chart-studio.plotly.com/dashboard/sportstotolink:2/view)

The men's team finished 10th in the 200m Minor Final (7th-12th place determination) at the Asian Games at the Wenzhou Dragonboat Center in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, on Thursday morning.

South Korea clocked 52.164 seconds in the preliminaries, good for ninth place out of 12 teams. They went into the [Minor Final](https://images.google.com.do/url?sa=t&url=http%3A%2F%2Fsportstotomen.com%2F) as a ranking event, not a final, and clocked 52.832 in the final schedule to finish 10th.

With a time of 51.525, North Korea took first place in the minor final and seventh place in the final standings. They met as a single team at Jakarta-Palembang 2018, but this time as opponents.

In the subsequent Grand Final, China won the gold medal with a time of 48.464 seconds. Second place went to Taiwan (49.171) and third to Indonesia (49.404).

China won the minor final in 57.927 seconds, ahead of Hong Kong (58.813) and Macau (1:190), but finished in seventh place.

The women's 200m Grand Final was also won by China, who clocked 53.804 seconds. They were followed by Indonesia (54.464) and Thailand (55.200).
