The Korean women's table tennis team has advanced to the quarterfinals of the table tennis team event at the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games.
The Korean Women's Table Tennis Team (ranked 5th in the world), [스포츠토토맨](https://www.sportstotomen.com/category/%eb%a8%b9%ed%8a%80%ea%b2%80%ec%a6%9d/) led by Head Coach Oh Kwang-heon, defeated Thailand (ranked 24th) 3-0 in the second match of the Women's Team Pool D at the Gongshu Canal Sports Park Gymnasium in Hangzhou, China on Wednesday (February 22).
After clinching first place in [Group D](http://drill.lovesick.jp/drilldata/index.php?sportstotomen22), South Korea advanced directly to the quarterfinals. A win in the quarterfinals would secure the bronze medal. Korea Women's Table Tennis also won the bronze medal in the team event at the 2018 Games.
Shin Yubin, ranked No. 8 in the world in women's singles, started the day with a 3-0 (11-3 11-9 11-5) victory over Sutasini Sawetabut, ranked No. 39 in the world.
After taking the first game in straight sets, Shin found herself in a tight spot early in the second game after Sutasini switched up her offense and dropped back-to-back points. Jeon took the first and second games with ease, using a variety of serves to shake up her opponent.
