# U-16 Men's Tennis Team Qualifies for Junior Davis Cup Finals

The South Korea National Under-16 (U-16) Men's Tennis Team will compete in the Junior Davis Cup Finals (Main Draw).

Led by head coach [Lim Yong-kyu](https://totoblog.day/2023/08/lee-kang-in-hwang-hee-chan-injured-klinsmann/), the team will compete in the group stage of the Junior Davis Cup Finals from Oct. 30-Nov. 5 in Cordoba, Spain.

The team is composed of Kim Mubin (Seo Incheon High School), Jung Yeon-yeon (JWON T), and Hwang Dong-hyun (Choi Joo-yeon TA).

The [Junior Davis Cup](https://maps.google.ae/url?q=https%3A%2F%2Fsportstotomen.com%2F), the national men's tennis tournament for under-16s, will be held in Cordoba, Spain, for seven days from Oct. 30 to Nov. 5.

The 16 nations that qualified for the finals will be divided into four groups, with the top two from each group advancing to the quarterfinals, where a tournament-style championship will be decided.

The draw for the groups will take place on Nov. 29, and all matches will be played as best-of-three doubles.

South Korea qualified for the event by finishing fourth at the [Junior Davis Cup Asia-Oceania Regional](http://www.kitaoka-group.com/pukiwiki/index.php?sportstotomen1) Qualifier in Kazakhstan in May. It is the first time in nine years that the team has qualified for the main event after qualifying through the regional rounds.

Coach Lim Yong-kyu said, "I'm excited to compete for the national team. I will take responsibility and do my best to prepare well with the players so that we can win the championship," he said, adding, "We will take care to manage our physical condition after arrival due to the short time difference."
