It was Koo Bon-hyuk's first career grand slam and his 23rd walk-off grand slam in the KBO League history. He was the sixth batter to hit a walk-off grand slam in 31 years, especially since Choi Hoon-jae in 1993. However, this historic grand slam almost ended up with three RBIs. That first baseman Kim Hyun-jong did not step home. Coming into the home, Kim joined his teammates to greet the walk-off hero, Koo Bon-hyuk, instead of the home plate. Fortunately, nobody saw it, but if anyone else's ball had been credited, Kim's score would have been canceled. With one out, Koo's score is recognized.
