# my week 1 at blockfuse labs i think i will say am one of the most luckies people in jos. Having mentors like the ones in blockfuse labs is one of the most thing to be proud of. > so my first day at blockfuse labs which was monday 9 june, it was a great opportunity to understand what it means to be a software engineer. where i learn the difference between software developer and software engineer then we move down to know the computer fundamentals after that we move to the generations of computer, the logic behind the understanding and display of data on the computer and much more. > Day 2 i lear on how the computer store numbers with decimal point and numbers with negative signs. understanding the hex, decimal and binary digits and thier conversion etc. > Day 3 was about the basic of OS which means operating system. also the difference between PROCESS, THREADS and EXECUTABLE then we move to type of execution which we said the are the PARALLEL EXECUTION and CONCURRENT EXECUTION which we look at their difference too before we move to LINUX and UNIX we also look at USER INTERFACE which we say the two type are the (GUI)graphic user interface and (CLI)command line interface which we where thought on how to use the CLI and some command of the CLI which am pretty sure i can perform some actions on the linux OS now my week 1 was so impactful. my tutors make sure no one was left behind. their guidance made the learning easier. MOST PEOPLE WILL SAY IN NIGERIA WE ARE BEEN THOUGHT TO PASS EXAM ONLY BUT THE TRUTH IS THAT IN BLOCKFUSE LABS WE DON'T DO THAT. I look forward to week 2 if anyone can do it i can do it too NEVER SETLE
