# Park Ji-hyun Tops All-star Fan Voting For The First Time In Her Life

The Korean Women's Basketball Federation WKBL announced on the 26th that Park Ji-hyun was selected as the No. 1 player in the 2023-24 Women's Professional Basketball All-Star fan vote held from the 6th to the 25th of this month. Park Ji-hyun won a total of 32,639 votes, ahead of Jihyun Shin Bucheon Hana One Q, 31,645 votes.

Park joined the pro league as the No. 1 draft pick in the 2018-19 season, and is currently playing as a central player of the team, ranking fifth overall in scoring 16.13 points per game, assists sixth 4.13, rebounds fifth 8.27 and interceptions first 2.40. Based on Park's performance, Woori Bank is currently tied for first in the league along with the Cheongju KB Stars.

Kim So-na 31,346 votes at Shinhan Bank in Incheon came in third, and Lee So-hee 33,324 votes came in fourth. Kim Dan-bi 28,132 votes at Woori Bank, who is ranked fifth, has been selected as an All-Star for 15 consecutive times since the 2009-10 season, further widening the gap with Han Chae-jin retired, who was selected for 13 consecutive times. Park Ji-soo 27,508 votes, the "national supply center" that ranks first in the league in scoring and rebounding, ranked eighth.

By club, Woori Bank, Shinhan Bank and Hana One Q produced four each, KB Stars and Yongin Samsung Life Insurance produced three, and BNK Som produced two All-Stars. Shin Eul-seul Samsung Life Insurance, 26,869 and Lee Myung-kwan Woori Bank, 14,987, who were nominated for the first All-Star in their lives, ranked 9th and 14th, respectively, while Lee Ju-yeon Samsung Life Insurance, 14,734 votes, who failed to enter the All-Star game last season due to injury, was ranked 17th and is set to play for the first time.

The 20 All-Stars in women's professional basketball are classified into Pink Star and Blue Star according to the voting rankings. Park Ji-hyun, the No. 1 player, will wear Pink Star uniforms and belong to Blue Star and Pink Star, respectively, starting from No. 2. Pink Star will be led by KB coach Kim Wan-soo, and Blue Star will be led by Woori Bank coach Wi Sung-woo.

All-Star players will participate in the W-Festival with young girls from Asan on the 6th of next month and then play the main game on the 7th.
