We use a validated RT-LAMP assay that is very sensitive, almost as sensitive as a PCR assay. Wir analysieren Gurgelproben auf das Vorhandensein von Corona (SARS-CoV-2) viraler RNA. The only difference is that the analysis of the sample is performed in a laboratory and is more accurate than most antigen tests. This means that the result, whether negative or positive, has no official validity. We do not guarantee the accuracy of the result and we do not issue a certificate. To confirm or rule out a SARS-CoV-2 infection with certainty, an official PCR test must be performed. **Wichtig**: Dieser Test ist vollständig anonym und hat deshalb den Stellenwert eines Antigentest den man selbst zu Hause durchführt. Samples can be submitted in the sample collection mail boxes until Monday/ Thursday morning 10am. Corona-Tests werden jeden Montag und Donnerstag durchgeführt. Die Proben können bis Montag-/ Donnerstagmorgen 10Uhr in den Briefkästen für die Probensammlung abgegeben werden. ## Instructions The testing station analyzes gargle samples for the presence of the Corona virus genome. To collect the gargle sample, please use the test kit consisting of a plastic bottle with sterile saline, a straw, a barcoded test tube as well as a small receipt. Die Teststation analysiert Gurgelproben auf das Vorhandensein des Corona-Virusgenoms. Zur Entnahme der Gurgelprobe benutzen Sie bitte das Testkit, bestehend aus einer Plastikflasche mit steriler Kochsalzlösung, einem Strohhalm, einem Teströhrchen mit Barcode sowie einem kleinen Beleg. 1.) This is how the gargle sample collection works: (Abbildung seitlich) So funktioniert die Gurgelprobe: - Please take the gargle sample BEFORE breakfast or at least 30 minutes after eating/brushing teeth. Keep a pair of scissors handy. Bitte noch VOR dem Frühstück oder erst mindestens 30 Minuten nach dem Essen/Zähneputzen die Gurgelprobe abnehmen. Halten Sie eine Schere bereit. - Unscrew the plastic bottle and use all of the 5ml saline solution for deep-throat gargling (do not swallow!). Schrauben Sie die Plastikflasche auf und verwenden Sie die gesamte 5ml-Kochsalzlösung zum Gurgeln tief in der Kehle (nicht schlucken!). - Gargle with the saline for 30s and rinse your mouth with it as well. Gurgeln Sie mit der Kochsalzlösung für 30s und spülen Sie sich auch den Mund damit aus. - Transfer the gargle fluid into the plastic bottle using the straw. Füllen Sie die Gurgelflüssigkeit mit dem Strohhalm in die Plastikflasche. - Shake the plastic bottle for 30s to homogenize the sample. Schütteln Sie die Plastikflasche 30s lang, um die Probe zu gut zu durchmischen. - Cut the tip of the plastic bottle with scissors and fill the provided barcoded tube almost completely. Make sure to properly close the tube. Schneiden Sie die Spitze der Plastikflasche mit der Schere ab und füllen Sie das mitgelieferte Röhrchen mit Barcode nahezu voll. Sample submission: (Karte mit Markierungen als Abbildung dazu) Probenabgabe: - Carefully check that the tube code on the receipt matches the barcode on the test tube with your sample. Überprüfen Sie sorgfältig, ob der Tube code auf dem Beleg mit dem Barcode auf den Teströhrchen mit Ihrer Probe übereinstimmt. - Drop the test tube with your sample into one of the collection mailboxes on the campus. Werfen Sie das Teströhrchen mit Ihrer Probe in einen der Sammelbriefkästen auf dem Campus. - Keep the receipt with the access code in a safe place and query the result in the evening or the next day at [URL]. Wie funktioniert der LAMP-Test? - In the first step of LAMP analysis, RNA is isolated from your saliva sample, since the genome of the SARS-CoV-2 virus is present as RNA. This process is performed by an automated pipetting platform. Im ersten Schritt der LAMP-Analyse wird RNA aus Ihrer Speichelprobe isoliert, da das Genom des SARS-CoV-2 Virus als RNA vorliegt. Dieser Vorgang wird von einer automatisierten Pipettierplattform durchgeführt. - Im zweiten Schritt wird mit der isolierten RNA das LAMP-Verfahren durchgeführt.
