--- title: How to share a colab document tags: COMP1010 --- # Sharing a Colab Document To share a Colab document with a tutor or lecturer for help with your work or for marking, there are a couple steps you need to take. 1. Share the file. 1. On the top-right of your document (in Google Drive, open for editing) there's a `Share` button. ![](https://i.imgur.com/4uHftdr.png) 2. To share a file with me, use sim.mautner.unsw@gmail.com. ![](https://i.imgur.com/1xt4VNS.png) ![](https://i.imgur.com/qJEuO3Y.png) 3. I recommend giving the tutor/lecturer you permissions of Editor or Commentor on your document so that they can leave you feedback easily and in contextually relevant places. ![](https://i.imgur.com/HK7mX1e.png) 4. Finally, make sure you click `Copy link` in preparation for Step 2 below. 2. Email the tutor/lecturer, including the following details: 1. The link to your document you've shared with them. 2. Which e-mail address you've shared it with (they might give you one to share it with). 3. Which question(s) they should be looking at. 4. What you'd like them to do with it. (Do you need help? What's the program doing that you don't want it to be doing? What different approaches have you tried so far? Or is it working but you don't know why?)
