# daily blog-enforced rest ###### tags: `blog` `daily blog` `enforced rest` `seth godin` `rest` `entrepreneurship` `lion` `hunt` The lion hunts a small part of the day - meaningful things are accomplished in concentrated blocks, repeated. Do intense, focused bursts and then take a break. Sometimes the compulsion to be active, to be doing **something**, obscures the fact that you're not doing anything **important**. In the new economy, you don't get points for logging miles. The miles are still required to land the prey, but you only get paid by the pound, not the distance run to catch it. If there isn't game worth hunting, then rest. Activity in want of an aim is pointless. Rest with a purpose is not. Be sharp for the next hunt. Sometimes the hunt is fruitless. That's par for the course. Keep hunting all the same.
