# Cleaning the (water)objective
Described on page 620-21 in the manual PDF. Should be on the computer desktop.
The machine is opened, by click settings / Operetta CLS / Open Lid. (Here you can also flush the objective - this helps e.g. if you move around you sample alot - making the water droplet break.)
The blue collar objective should be cleaned only with H20. You can use some from the bottles connected to the machine if you cant use any other.
Since it hasnt been cleaned in a long while, you might also need to use 70 EtOH (max 1/month).
Lentil free wipes should be on the table, perhaps next to pinky, or in the top drawer opposite of Brian.



# Cleaning the alignment sample
This gets dirty surprisingly often.
Usually when 5x is used following 40x-water. This leaves water on the sample that gets transfered to the 5x objective - and subsequently to the alignment plate.
