# Pre-NOF Media: What Remains?

This is a general list of all the media that was and was not preserved (intact?) after the Night of Fire. Based on some of our more obscure lore, such as the mythology of the Ashen Huntsman and the semi-mythic status of Chef Boyardee, this list is essentially designed to be an open space for idea generation based on how media from before the Night of Fire may or may not have affected the future. I'm Being Serious Should This Even Be Canon Why Would We Enforce Something This SSpecific

Actually the real reason is so we can get some more inspiration going for post NOF stuff, by the request of other lorers

### Media That Surivived Completely
This section is for media that was kept entirely intact, maintaining its status as fiction and keeping it alive in the cultural consciousness. Current examples (feel free to add your own, lorers!) include:

- Halo (Members of the Colonial Minutemen use VR variants of the third and seventh installments as recreational training simulations.)
- Hollow Knight (The plushies are quite popular in Mothperson and Rachnid circles, although not for the reason most would assume.)
- Deltarune (Again, plushies.) (Did Undertale survive y/n)
- Star Trek: Deep Space 9 (Star Trek as a series remains popular both for its quaint depiction of an idealized future as well as for the Federation's similiarities and differences to SolGov.)
- Christianity, arguably
- Homestuck (Alas, it is as controversial as ever.)
- Neil Cicierega (He's still alive, after the events of the infamous Project: Cabinet Man procedure.)
- Weezer (Pinkerton is their most popular album in SolGov space, while the Blue Album is favored by Kalixcians. No one listens to the Seasonal albums.)
- Tally Hall (Their music is still rather popular for usage in memes, but exclusively over images of abstract art.)
- DOOM. Some IPCs install it to their OS to slack off without anyone noticing.

### Media That Survived, But Not Intact
This section is for media that was recovered after the Night of Fire, but not without some damages both to its nature and to its reputation. Current examples (feel free to add your own, lorers!) include:
- Chef Boyardee (This popular brand of canned food has a personal mythology already well-detailed elsewhere.)
- Anything related to Dwayne Johnson (he's a figure of myth like the Chef)
- Portal series (co-op doesn't work, frequent bugs involving airboats, third game was never recovered)
- Star Wars (The 4th and 6th episodes were recovered, the 5th is missing. The prequels are also intact, though every recovered digital copy seems to have specific parts edited out, namely a portion wherein the principal character, Anakin Skywalker, references something from his home planet, Tatooine, as "rough and coarse". To date, it is assumed he is referring to droids. Of the sequel series, only the seventh episode has been recovered.)
- Con Air (They could only find the version where John Egbert retcons in for a few seconds) (this is a real version of the movie, the homestuck discord streams it every so often) (I can't find a reference to it on the wikipedia page where can I find out more)

### Media That Has Not Survived
This section is for media that has not yet been recovered. I doubt this section is very long, given that people tend to make pop culture references all the time and marking them as FailRP seems ill-advised at best. Current examples (feel free to add your own, lorers!) include:
- Space Station 13
- Morbius
- Among Us (How do we explain the pequenos?) (conqurent evolutiuon) (oh so it's like carcinization but amongus) (yes) (okay actually write that as a blurb)
- Frackin' Universe (No Particular Reason I Just Hate Sayter) (isn't the modmaker a dick) (Yes) (okay yeah it's gone)
- Starbound (No Particular Reason I Just Hate Chucklefuck)
- Actually Every Chucklefish Property Ever (Fuck Them) (even Stardew Valley?) (didnt they move publishers) (i dunno lemme google it) (oh yeah didnt they publish starmancer) (what was that again) (okay Chucklefish did some ports and translations but they're not involved as of like 2019 so it's probably kosher)
- Cosmosdex (we're probably going to rip a lot of this off, be weird to have people know what aftiks are when we also HAVE aftiks)
- The Entire Call of Duty Series
- Every Alien movie besides the 4th one (are there xenos in the fourth one? yes but its so bad nobody watches it or cares) (also xenomorphs could be revised) (meh I like xenos as is)
- Inquisitor by Ian Watson (that book is fucking cursed no way in hell should it survive) (who knows ian? maybe this is my next movie?)
- Any media that depicts clowns in a positive light
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (ironically, there was a extremely similar franchise of the same name made on Kalixis)
