# Modular Ship Design Doc ###### tags: `Deprecated` `Design` ## CONCEPT A ship that you can purchase and customize from within the ship selector in the lobby, before entering the game. This ship would be modular and feature a point-buy system, by which various modules representing different features and departments would be available. This would include more basic elements like medical bays and engines to more unusual things like chapels and firing ranges. Maximum of four compartments, not counting the Bridge and Engine, both of which are always present. The Bridge cannot be upgraded and contains three EVA suits, a normal toolbox, an emergency toolbox, a compact pickaxe, a welding tank, a basic medical kit, a mining satchel, an autolathe and an oxygen tank dispenser alongside normal bridge controls and cryosleep pod ## DEPARTMENTS Starting Points: 12 ### T1 Medbay -
