# WhatsApp

Rake enables you to connect your WhatsApp Business numbers to your Workspaces to receive and manage messages coming to your WhatsApp Business account. Use this functionality alongside other Platform Integrations to manage all the messaging that goes through different platforms in one place — Rake Conversations page.

## Create and Connect WhatsApp Business Number

Connecting WhatsApp Business number is a multi-step process. Let's check it in detail below:

**Note:** *Connecting WhatsApp Business Accounts and Phone Numbers requires a review by WhatsApp and administrative access to your Meta (Facebook) Business Account.*

Before you start, open the WhatsApp platform page: Rake->Workspace Editor->Platform Integrations->WhatsApp

### Part 1: Initiate a Rake-WhatsApp connection

1. Click on **Connect Numbers** button
2. Click **Apply for a WhatsApp Phone Number**
3. On the **Apply for WhatsApp Business APIs** blade, agree to put the checkmark and click **Connect Facebook Business Account/Add WhatsApp number**
4. Log in to your Facebook account in a pop-up window
5. On the next page get acknowledged with the upcoming steps and click **Get Started**
6. Click **continue**

### Part 2: Create and verify Facebook and WhatsApp business accounts. This part consists of 3 steps:

#### Step 1: Create your Facebook and WhatsApp Business Account

1. You can either choose your existing business account or create a new one. If you want to create a new one -- choose **Create new Facebook Business Account**
2. Enter your business info and phone number and click **Continue**
3. Enter your address and click **continue** again. If you entered data properly on the previous screens -- you will see a **Continue to Step 2** button. Click on it

#### Step 2: Create your WhatsApp Business profile

1. Enter your WhatsApp Business Display Name.
2. If your display name is different from your legal business name -- put the checkmark and enter your legal business name in the field appeared
3. Click **Continue**
4. Choose the category of your business, enter your business description, and click **Continue to Step 3**

#### Step 3: WhatsApp Business Number verification

1. Choose your WhatsApp business number or register a new one
2. Select a verification method
3. Click on **Send Code** button
4. Put in the code, and wait for the email confirmation from Facebook (WhatsApp?)

### Part 3: Connect your WhatsApp Business number to Rake

Once you receive a confirmation from Facebook (WhatsApp?), open Rake->Workspace Editor->Platform Integrations->WhatsApp. You will see the WhatsApp business account there with the list of your WhatsApp numbers. Click **Connect** next to your WhatsApp number to connect it to your Workspace.
