# Community Clocks
Inspired by Kernel's [Finding Lost Paradises](https://www.kernel.community/en/learn/module-4/the-garden#-finding-lost-paradises).
- Different online p2p communities operate on different temporal scales, defining their own pace and timing through their calendars, recurring events and workflows.
- Public events create temporal attractors that can synchronize and coordinate members from other communities.
- Greater inter-org coordination might require agreement on a shared time-keeping system (e.g. public ecosystem calendar, alternatives time measurement systems based on block time etc.)
- Community cross-pollination requires community clock synchronization.
- Decentralized and open time-keeping is a great challenge.
