# Scisprint 2021 Early July: Python ZH TW Doc ###### tags: `scisprint` https://sciwork.dev/sprint/2021/07early-pycht # Agenda * Improve the review. Currently a bottleneck of the translation is the review by Adrian. It will be helpful to have more reviewers. * Improve glossary. We have not had consistent translation of many English words. Find better ways to unify how terminology is translated. * Automation and CI. We do not have any CI at the moment, but we should. We should check for build errors for each of the PRs, use of whites spaces, and daily update of source strings. * Whether or not or how to use transifex. The keys are how to improve the pace of the translation, review, and integration of the current GitHub-based flow. # Attendees * Adrian Liaw * Josix Wang * Matt Wang * Yung-Yu Chen # Note * Adrian: We should follow [PEP 545 -- Python Documentation Translations](https://www.python.org/dev/peps/pep-0545/) workflow for CHT translation. * Need a coordinator. * In general each language has only one coordinator. * Responsible for the quality of translation. * The coordinator needs to help delegate information between the Python (core/lib?) developers (mailing list) and the language translation. * Need more reviewers (in addition to the coordinator) to improve the quality of the translation. * Grammatical correctness. * Fidelity (from the original document). * Consistent vocabulary / glossary. * Good in (traditional) Chinese and English. Keen to the uniqueness of the Taiwan (traditional) use of Chinese. Need to be consistent to the MOE version. * [國家教育研究院 雙語詞彙學術名詞暨辭書資訊網](https://terms.naer.edu.tw/). * Once we add new terminology we may feed back to the (above) database. * Reviewers need to be adequately competent in Python. * Active translators: Adrian, Steven, meowmeowmeowcat, Josix. * Adrian: GitHub workflow is generally good, but we may get more productivity from additional auxiliary system. * Josix: Why the CHT is falling back to CHS? # Action items * Hold sprints regularly * Next sprint to follow sciwork flow like: https://github.com/sciwork/swportal/pull/70 * Sequence: Adrian (7/17 (TW) 10:00am -- 12:00pm), Josix, Matt * (Josix) Draft what is the work flow for reviewing translation. * (Matt) Review README and file issues if necessary. * (Adrian) Initiate discussions for how to promote the translation sprints.
