--- title: Process for updating Wiki pages tags: authors-only, process --- # Process for updating Wiki pages *(This protocol is currently in draft.)* <sub>Updated **13/03/21**: We are doing a test run of having volunteers manage page updates to be sent to page managers for review.</sub> In the first instance, all procedures described here are to be tested within the SciBeh team, following which we will look to expand. 1. We have set up a ==private[^fornow]== [GitHub repo](https://github.com/scibeh/c19vaxwiki/issues). Links for the Wiki can be emailed to `c19vaxwiki@gmail.com`. Through a forwarding system, these emails become GitHub issues in the dedicated repo[^githubmail]. [^githubmail]: See https://fire.fundersclub.com for how to turn emails into github issues. [^fornow]: We can discuss at later stage, at least after testing, if this should become public. 1. In addition to the SciBeh team, we will recruit curators from: * Contacting team members directly * Asking wider workshop participants * People writing in offering to help Curators' roles are to email to a dedicated inbox new resources, references, information etc. (with links) about their pages. They should indicate in the email title the subject of this information. 2. A 'super-curator' then sorts the links into project boards for the respective pages. For example, an item that relates to two pages will be assigned to both page boards. > At the moment the super-curator is Dawn, who will check daily (in the morning) for new issues until we get a feel for the frequency for which new issues arrive. 3. Each page is assigned a **page manager**. The page manager is in charge of keeping the page updated on a ==**weekly**== basis, including using their judgement when an (usually substantive) update needs to be validated by a senior expert who can sign off on the veracity of new information. The page manager should check their [respective repos](https://hackmd.io/@scibehC19vax/tasklist#Live-Wiki-pages) for materials to update their pages. <sub>This is also placed at the bottom of this page for your convenience.</sub> If new to the Wiki, page managers should also see [welcome page](https://hackmd.io/@scibehC19vax/welcome) for how to navigate their page's GitHub boards and [instructions to authors](https://hackmd.io/@scibehC19vax/instructions) for writing guidelines. 4. ==**NEW** (In test). SciBeh volunteers will check the [respective repos](https://hackmd.io/@scibehC19vax/tasklist#Live-Wiki-pages) for materials to update their pages. They will then push changes into GitHub and email `c19vaxwiki@gmail.com` to notify that there is a change to be reviewed. The super-curator will then inform the page manager to check the update, merge the request and pull it into the Wiki.== 4. Expert reviewers and curators will be identified in the page credits. This means the page credits should have the following lines: <sub>Page manager: Expert reviewers: Page curators: Page contributors:</sub> {%hackmd SwnMeXf9SEG9GTOKkT5eZg %}
