In search of an escape she found a luminous crow which guided her towards the Realm of the Lost. Thea must reach the top of the realms kingdom and face the ruler Asmodeus for a chance to reclaim her soul. Along the way she must battle hoards of corrupt spirits and solve hidden puzzles, throughout the game she can gain items found around the level giving her access to unique abilties that help her traverse the realm. ---- ## Target Audience/Market ###### Soul Stranded will be targeted towards all genders rather than just male players as statistics show that the numeber of women that play games has been higher or equal to the number of men that play games from 2020-2021. The age range for this game will be between 16-24, the reason for this is due to the highest percentage of gamers in the UK being in that age range. When publishing this game the focus will be on selling digital copies rather than boxed software as statistics show that digital sales gain more than double the profit than boxed sales do. The main target locations that Soul Stranded will be aimed at are the UK and USA as they currently have the highest population of PC and Online gamers compared to other countries. ----  ---- ## Character Backstory ###### The main character in Soul Stranded is Thea, a 19 year old lonesome spirit looking for a way home. One misty evening Thea headed to explore the forest, at the back of her parents house, searching for any woodland animals as she enjoyed feeding them seeds and berries on occasion. Whilst wandering she heard what seemed to be baby birds chirping in the tree above her, determined to feed the hungry birds she carefully climbed the tree. Unfortunatley, her foot slipped on one of the branches due to the previous rainfall resulting in her death, she soon woke up to a world unlike the one she once knew. Unknowing of the troubled realm that awaits her. ----  ---- ## Gameplay ###### Soul Stranded is a Story-based RPG Puzzle game set in 3rd person perspective in which the player has to reach the final boss, Asmodeus, to complete the game. You play as Thea using her spirit walking abilites to navigate and defeat enemies, as well as utilizing various weapons found throughout the game such as a Hallowed Sythe and a Purifying Incense. The combat system in Soul Stranded is similar to other RPG games e.g. Elden Ring, however is more simplified for an easier gameplay experience. The player has HP and can die if all HP is lost resulting in the player to spawn at the last saved checkpoint.
