## Basic Introductions
Shadowsocks is a secure socks5 proxy, designed to protect your Internet traffic, more information can be found [here](https://shadowsocks.org/en/index.html)(https://shadowsocks.org/en/index.html)

This instruction aimed to give instructions on how to use Shadowsocks provided by https://wow.ryke.io in MAC OS.

## Tools
1. Shadowsocks Server
1. A valid email account - gmail, outlook, etc.
2. Shadowsocks Client
1. MAC OS [Shadowsocks-NG8-R8](https://github.com/qinyuhang/ShadowsocksX-NG-R/releases/download/1.4.4-r8/ShadowsocksX-NG-R8.dmg)

## Steps
### Step 1: Setup Shadowsocks Server
1. Open https://wow.ryke.io to Register an Account
1. Click 'SIGN UP'

2. Enter your Email and Password, click `GET CODE` to receive `Verification code`

3. Enter `Verification code` and Click `SIGN UP`. **Tips: If you didn’t see email in your InBox, please check your Junk**

4. After `SIGN UP`, you will see a page like this.

2. Get your SSR subscribtion link
1. After Login your account, go to `[Account](https://wow.ryke.io/user/account)`, And then click `订阅链接`
2. Click `ssr`, and then click `复制链接`(Copy Link)
3. Paste the Link somewhere secure. If someone knows your links, they can use your server, which is a security leak

### Step 2: Setup Shadowsocks Client
#### Instructions for MACOS user
1. Download and Install [Shadowsocks-NG8](https://github.com/qinyuhang/ShadowsocksX-NG-R/releases/download/1.4.4-r8/ShadowsocksX-NG-R8.dmg)
2. Subscribe SSR
1. Open Shadowsocks-NG8 and Click `Edit Subscribe Feed`
2. Click `+`
3. Fill the form, paste your `ssr` link into `URL`, give an arbitrary name to `Group`, and then Click `ok`
4. Choose an Endpoint to Connect
1. Choose an Endpoint
2. Click `Turn Shadowsocks On`
