## Feedback from People on what they think of the Metaverse
* What is the metaverse?
AR/VR Full solution
**Funded by Qatar**
Simulation of learning of how to drive
Simulation of Museums
Establish a platform in Lebanon or Qatar, we can apply for State Funds if we want, instead of focusing on investors
- What do you think the metaverse should be all about? What does a metaverse represent to you?
Thats really hard questions as even Meta (Facebook) is not answering this question in detail and keep it very vague.
What does a metaverse represent to you?
- I think the best description or vision for a Metaverse is currently from Meta (Facebook). They want to create with their Metaverse Horizon a digital world which is replacing or complementing the real world with all kind of event and business. So I dont go directly to a bank I go to Horizon and the bank employee as well and we meet in "person" there and make some business. Sure Meta will get a fee for all transactions there.
- Metaverse must be with VR/AR, without that its just like "Second world"
- Metaversa means also for me that you as a person are holding digital assets (like NFT), but finally this is not a must
What do you think should it be all about?
- Metaverse makes only sense when a lot of people are joining 1 Metaverse or maybe a few Metaverses. It makes also not sense when 10000 incompatible Messanger systems will exist. So the most of the "Metaverses" now will die.
- The most of the "Metaverse" projects are just games with NFTs. Thats ok, but then the label Metaverse is wrong. And: In the past I paid max 80 USD for a life time access to a game. Now I should pay 2000 USD for a house, 1000 USD for a car, etc.
- Metaverse projects without of VR is for me not a Metaverse, this we have already with Second life.
- But its all in the beginning and I think this technology will come, but still there is a lot of hardware and other issues to solve. I think in ~10 years we might see the first applications which is for the populace useful and get maybe accepted
* What does a metaverse represent to you? What do you think should it be all about?
No time for it. No idea what to do where, I’m still don’t have time to explore my new city at least
Why would I need metaverse?
#### Watch the whole of this for inspiration on that topic
https://youtu.be/kAgDhYktLqg
Shared the video link to the fellowship and here are their opinion on this:
* What does a metaverse represent to you? What do you think should it be all about?
I think Metaverse is a hype to sell new subscriber service with very niche real use.
Meeting in person is the best way, alternatively audio/video (e.g. Zoom) meeting.
And if you feel you want to add some cartoonish and playful style why not meet in existing MMORPG games and hold session there. Sims or even World of Warcraft, whatever if the avatar is supposed to be the added value.
VR might have more immersive experience than regular game but the graphics is so primitive that it reminds me of computer game Grim Fandango released 24 years ago.
* What does a metaverse represent to you? What do you think should it be all about?
It's interesting, but nothing can beat in person meetings.
For any community to thrive it must be supportive and I wonder if this pastor has ever asked his online members why they prefer to meet this way.
I also wonder what attending church will look like in the future
Thought provoking, thanks for sharing
* What does a metaverse represent to you? What do you think should it be all about?
Digital waste. Meta has bet the entire business on the VR being popular. Its an advanced platform to sell and target ads. This supports an economy causing environmental damage. The tech industry is a key arsonist, a key driver of the climate crisis promoting consumerism.
This surveillance tech is part of "epistemic coup" (i.e. the coup enacted by tech corporations to claim ownership of knowledge in society)

### What are the 3 parts of a vision statement?
It's comprised of three parts: what you do, how you do it, and why you do it. A vision statement outlines the company's long-term goals and aspirations for the future in terms of its long-term growth and impact on the world
# Vision
Ready Player One - Playing games with your friends, game based digital reality
We have the building blocks of a Ready Player One in our hands, it's not developed as such but the basic blocks are there.
How is it going to change people?
- Is it going to make new friends?
- In the metaverse you are whoever you want to be. It will help to blur racial boundaries that otherwise would keep humanity apart (Parcival and Aech his best friend who in reality was a girl).
- It can offer comfort and can be a place where you feel that you belong.
- To provide a virtually immersive experience that promotes freedom of expression and transformation.
We are looking for the North Star
We need to define what the North star is
We need to define our sigular vision

### Which do we need first a vision statement or a community?
### Things we need
More effective leadership (CEO with connections)
A community (focus on Appics)
Content creators
A vision statement
Equity investors (possibility)
Patrons to fund their own metaverse venues and features
### Things we need
- Our vision is to create a metaverse experience that is continuously evolving bringing people closer and closer to their goals and dreams.
- The ultimate is to empower humanity and make the world a better place
- Do good
- Let the creativity define what the metaverse (product). We are here to deliver upon what content creators imagine.
- We focus solely on their needs and what would make them whole, and the tools they feel they need to make them successful. If that means to provide a virtual environment where they can be with and spend some time with their clients and/or followers, let Gamestate help you with that.
- Gamestate would integrate web3 and web 2 tools to provide an end-to-end solution focused around content creators and their communities
## Essay on how Gamestate aims to build a 'Ready Player One' open world based on Content Creators and around Communities
The metaverse, also known as the virtual world or the internet of things, is a rapidly growing and evolving space that is changing the way we interact, communicate, and express ourselves.
### We were inspired by "Ready Player One", a metaverse-inspired book
In the science fiction novel "Ready Player One" by Ernest Cline and the subsequent film adaptation directed by Steven Spielberg, the metaverse is a virtual reality world that serves as the primary setting for the story. The metaverse is a vast, immersive virtual reality universe where people can escape the constraints and limitations of the physical world and live out their dreams and fantasies. It is described as a place where anything is possible, where people can be whoever they want to be and do whatever they want to do.
The best metaverse inspired by "Ready Player One" would likely be a place that is both vast and immersive, with a wide range of environments and experiences available to users. It would be a place where people can connect with each other and interact in meaningful ways, whether it would be through virtual reality games, socializing, or participating in other activities. It would also be a place where users have a high level of agency and can shape their own experiences, creating their own avatars and engaging in a variety of activities and challenges.
Additionally, the best metaverse inspired by "Ready Player One" would likely be a place that is constantly evolving and improving, with new content and experiences being added on a regular basis. It would be a place where people can continuously discover new things and have new adventures, and where there is always something new and exciting to do.
### How to define the ideal metaverse
The ideal metaverse is a virtual reality world that is seamlessly integrated with the physical world and serves as a platform for people to interact, create, and experience a wide range of activities and content. It should be immersive, interactive, and highly customizable, allowing users to shape their own experiences and create their own spaces within the metaverse.
In the ideal metaverse, users should have the ability to fully express themselves and their creativity, whether through avatars, virtual spaces, or other types of content. They should be able to communicate and interact with other users in real time, as well as access a wide range of virtual goods and services.
The ideal metaverse should also be accessible and open to all, with a wide range of content and activities available to suit different interests and preferences. It should be scalable, able to accommodate a large number of users and a diverse range of experiences. It should also be secure, with robust privacy and security measures in place to protect users' personal information and prevent malicious activity.
Overall, the ideal metaverse is a rich and immersive virtual world that serves as a platform for people to connect, communicate, create, and experience a wide range of activities and content.
### How to build an open world in the metaverse
An open metaverse is a virtual world that is open and accessible to anyone with an internet connection. It is a place where people can interact, create, and explore in a shared digital space. Building an open metaverse requires a combination of technical expertise, creative vision, and a deep understanding of the needs and desires of the users who will inhabit the space.
One of the first steps in building an open metaverse is to design the overall structure and layout of the world. This includes deciding on the geography, topography, and overall aesthetic of the world. It also involves creating the rules and guidelines that will govern the behavior of users within the metaverse.
Once the overall structure of the metaverse has been designed, the next step is to build the infrastructure that will support it. This includes creating the servers and networking infrastructure that will allow users to connect to the metaverse, as well as developing the tools and software that will enable users to create and interact with the world.
In addition to building the technical infrastructure, tech builders must also consider the user experience. This includes designing intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that make it easy for users to navigate the metaverse, as well as developing tools and features that allow users to customize and personalize their experience.
One key aspect of building an open metaverse is ensuring that it is open and accessible to all users. This means that the metaverse must be built in a way that is inclusive and welcoming to people from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures. It also means that the metaverse must be built with accessibility in mind, ensuring that users with disabilities are able to fully participate in the experience.
Another important aspect of building an open metaverse is building a community of users. This involves creating a welcoming and supportive environment that encourages collaboration and teamwork, as well as providing resources and support to help users connect with one another and build relationships.
Finally, tech builders must consider how to monetize the metaverse. There are a number of different approaches to this, such as charging users a subscription fee or allowing users to purchase virtual goods and services. Ultimately, the most successful monetization strategy will depend on the specific needs and goals of the metaverse and its users.
In conclusion, building an open metaverse requires a combination of technical expertise, creative vision, and a deep understanding of the needs and desires of users. It involves designing the overall structure and layout of the world, building the infrastructure to support it, creating a user-friendly experience, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility, building a community of users, and finding a successful monetization strategy.
### Connecting web2.0 and web3.0 for the benefits of the Content Creators
As a reminder, the metaverse is a virtual world that is constructed and maintained by computer software, and most importantly, it is often described as the next evolution of the internet. While web2.0, which refers to the second generation of the World Wide Web, is characterized by interactive and user-generated content, web3.0, also known as the Semantic Web, is focused on the integration of data and the ability for machines to understand and interpret it.
##### Different ways of connecting web 2.0 and web 3.0
1. Through the use of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies. These technologies allow users to experience the metaverse in a more immersive way, by providing them with the ability to interact with virtual objects and environments in a way that feels real.
For example, a user could use VR or AR to visit a virtual museum, where they could view and interact with exhibits in a way that is similar to visiting a physical museum. This type of experience would be powered by web2.0 technologies, such as social media and user-generated content, while web3.0 technologies, such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, could be used to provide users with personalized recommendations and information about the exhibits they are viewing.
2. Through the use of decentralized applications (dApps). These are applications that run on a decentralized platform, such as a blockchain, and are designed to be open, transparent, and secure.
dApps can be used to create virtual economies within the metaverse, allowing users to buy, sell, and trade virtual goods and services using cryptocurrency. This type of economy would be powered by web2.0 technologies, such as online marketplaces and social media, while web3.0 technologies, such as smart contracts and decentralized finance (DeFi), could be used to facilitate the transactions and ensure the security and integrity of the virtual economy.
3. Through the use of decentralized identity (DID) systems. These systems allow users to control and manage their own digital identity, enabling them to authenticate themselves and access various services within the metaverse.
For example, a user could use their DID to login to their virtual home, access their virtual bank account, or purchase virtual goods and services. This type of authentication would be powered by web2.0 technologies, such as social media profiles and online identity verification, while web3.0 technologies, such as blockchain and cryptography, could be used to ensure the security and integrity of the DID system.
In conclusion, the metaverse offers a unique opportunity to connect web2.0 and web3.0 in a way that is immersive, interactive, and decentralized. By using VR and AR technologies, dApps, and DID systems, it is possible to create virtual worlds that are powered by both interactive and user-generated content, as well as data integration and machine understanding. As the metaverse continues to evolve, it is likely that these connections will become even more integral to the way we experience and interact with the virtual world.
### How artists can use the metaverse
For artists, the metaverse presents a plethora of new opportunities to showcase their work, connect with audiences, and collaborate with other artists in ways that were previously unimaginable. In this essay, we will explore some of the ways in which artists can use the metaverse to their advantage.
##### Different ways for artists to benefit from the web 3.0 immersive experience
1. Having the ability to create and exhibit their work in a virtual space. With the advent of virtual and augmented reality technology, artists can now create immersive, interactive experiences that allow viewers to engage with their work in a whole new way. For example, an artist could create a virtual gallery where visitors can walk through and interact with the art, or even create a virtual reality installation that allows viewers to fully immerse themselves in the art.
2. Helping artists in collaborating with other artists from around the world. With the internet and virtual reality technology, it is now possible for artists to work together in real-time, regardless of their physical location. This can be especially useful for artists who live in isolated or underserved communities, as it allows them to connect with and work alongside other artists from around the globe.
3. Providing a new platform for artists to showcase and sell their work. In the past, artists often had to rely on galleries or exhibitions to reach potential buyers, but now they can use virtual platforms to reach a global audience. For example, an artist could create a virtual storefront on a platform like Second Life or VRChat, where they can showcase and sell their work to a global audience.
4. Providing a way for them to create virtual performances or concerts. With the proliferation of virtual reality technology, artists can now create immersive concerts that allow fans to experience the music in a whole new way. For example, an artist could create a virtual reality concert that allows fans to feel like they are right there on stage with the performers. This can be especially useful for artists who are unable to tour due to COVID-19 or other reasons.
In conclusion, the metaverse presents a vast array of new opportunities for artists to showcase, sell, and collaborate on their work. From virtual galleries and installations to virtual performances and concerts, the metaverse allows artists to connect with audiences and collaborate with other artists in ways that were previously unimaginable. As the metaverse continues to grow and evolve, it is sure to become an increasingly important platform for artists to showcase and sell their work.
### How content creators can benefit from the metaverse and web 2.0 combination
The metaverse is a virtual world that combines elements of both the physical and digital realms, and it is increasingly being used as a platform for content creation and distribution. Web2.0 refers to the second generation of the World Wide Web, which is characterized by the ability for users to interact with and contribute to online content. When combined, the metaverse and Web2.0 can provide a number of benefits for content creators:
1. Reach a global audience: The metaverse allows content creators to reach a global audience in a way that is not possible in the physical world. This is because the metaverse is accessible from anywhere with an internet connection, and users can interact with it from any device.
2. Monetize content: The metaverse provides a range of opportunities for content creators to monetize their work, including through the sale of virtual goods, services, and experiences. This can be a lucrative source of income for content creators, especially those who are able to create popular or in-demand content.
3. Collaborate with other creators: The metaverse enables content creators to collaborate with one another in real-time, regardless of location. This can be particularly useful for creators who are working on projects that require input from multiple people, such as video game development or music production.
4. Engage with audiences: The metaverse provides a unique opportunity for content creators to interact with their audiences in a more immersive and interactive way. This can help to build stronger connections with fans and create a sense of community around a particular piece of content.
Overall, the combination of the metaverse and Web2.0 can provide a number of benefits for content creators, including the ability to reach a global audience, monetize their work, collaborate with other creators, and engage with their audiences in a more immersive way.
### How to bring the best of the metaverse and web 2.0 using NFTs for the benefits of the content creators
Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are digital assets that represent ownership of a unique item or asset. They are often used in the context of the metaverse, which is a virtual world that can be accessed through the internet and in which users can interact with each other and with virtual objects and environments. NFTs can be used in the metaverse to represent ownership of virtual real estate, virtual objects, and other virtual assets.
##### Different ways for artists to benefit from NFTs in the ideal open world metaverse
1. Allowing them to sell unique digital assets directly to their audiences. For example, a content creator could create and sell an NFT that represents ownership of a unique piece of digital artwork, or a unique virtual object in the metaverse. This allows the content creator to monetize their work directly, rather than relying on advertising or other forms of revenue that may not be as profitable.
2. Allowing them to create and sell unique experiences or access to exclusive content. For example, a content creator could create an NFT that gives the holder access to exclusive events or experiences within the metaverse, or to exclusive content on the creator's website or social media channels. This allows the content creator to monetize their work in a way that is more closely tied to the value that their audience derives from it.
Overall, NFTs offer a new and innovative way for content creators to monetize their work, and can be particularly useful in the context of the metaverse and web 2.0, where the value of digital assets is increasingly being recognized.
More importantly, NFTs represent two things:
* Ownership. It will be forever the deed that artists can refer to for any future litigation.
NFTs can help by providing them a way to authenticate and monetize their digital creations. Prior to the emergence of NFTs, it was difficult for artists to control the distribution and use of their digital artwork, as it could be easily copied and shared online without permission or credit. By creating an NFT for their artwork, artists can establish a unique, one-of-a-kind piece that can be bought and sold on the open market. This allows artists to have greater control over the distribution and use of their work, and to potentially earn more income from the sale of their artwork.
* Open creativity. NFTs are not restricted in any shape or form.
NFTs have the potential to open up new creative possibilities. By creating an NFT for their artwork, artists can embed additional information, such as audio, video, or other interactive elements, within the NFT itself. This can allow artists to create more immersive and interactive experiences for their audience, and to potentially explore new forms of artistic expression that were not previously possible.
Overall, NFTs have the potential to provide a new platform for artists to authenticate, monetize, and showcase their work in a way that was not previously possible.
# Feedback from a Content Creator (Instagram and Tik Tok)
https://www.instagram.com/jag.online/?hl=en
https://www.tiktok.com/@jag.online?lang=en
Great feedback from Jag though. I summarized all our discussion. Here is his advice:
For Branding
Avoid Metaverse and NFTs in Branding. Content creators will not want to work with us cause they are afraid their users will consider them crypto related and therefore with the current market, scammers.
What are the different frictions we might have
- Educating people on the metaverse
- Educating people on the project itself
He suggests we approach content creators this way:
- Casual Approach
- Join this event virtually
- When people get onboarded they will get the new full immersive experience
He really suggests that we approach brands as you said Ricardo, and in the following way:
- Approach brands as being innovative and being something new
- Focus on their innovation hubs/teams
For example, HSBC innovative branch or even Visa innovation branch
Approach script:
We are a small startup wanting to teach people financial literacy (fish bait)
(When the fist catches the bait)
When we get them in the call, we tell them we do this financial education through live events, and we do that in an immersive way
Marketing Strategy
- Tik Tok Videos showing the following: This is how content creators should be running the metaverse
For example: "This is how we are doing with Appics, this is how it should be done" or "this is how you should run your own metaverse"
- Tagging content creators in those videos, it will get to their reach (small content creators first, and then medium ones, and even bigger ones later). We would then get new content creators and generate sales
- Create news based content about the metaverse
=> In both cases, we should add a call to action, "find out more in the bio", discord server in Link and Bio
- Create in Discord a register of free tools set to educate the creators on how to automate their day-to-day work, or even how to breach the gap to the metaverse
=> Consolidating anything worth the time for the content creator (Education Platform through our discord)
Overall feedback
- He is super curious, might want to get his people in a private space
- He thinks that our Branding around the creator is best and that we might have nailed it
- Great project and long way ahead (we know that :) )
- Events sponsored by corporates that have budget for creators
