## Updates

* TC: Interestingly, in doing the program management interviews, we ended up talking with a bunch of people about their story in coming to Rust and their experience with the Project.
* nikomatsakis:
* I was in touch with people from Rust Africa
* I'm going to do some 1:1 interviews with him and some other African Rust developers
* I am going to try to get a few of them done next week
* ernest:
* Yeah, I was thinking along similar lines
* Hernan Gonzalez is going to be representing South American and LATAM
* Mordecai and Enow Scott representing the African continent
* Working on connecting Rohit and some folks from Rust India to represent that part of the world; Rust Mumbai and Rust Bangalore team have been the most active over there
* Calendly component was the last thing I was missing, that was my point of confusion, people are there, communities are there, how do we build that bridge to connect
* nikomatsakis: I gather Tim has a bunch of stuff from his part of the world
* Alan Wyma (rustaceans.fm podcast host / Hong Kong), Qing Ma (China mainland), Alex Zhang, those 3 individuals would be great to get a perspective on China and adjacent communities
* Jon: what I've done is added the add'l 1200 survey results into our sheet, cleaned up and filtered down to the ~300 people who consented to the interview, [added more results here](https://rust-lang.zulipchat.com/#narrow/channel/495749-vision-doc-2025.2Fprivate/topic/survey.20results/near/515382234).
* Niko: I also reached out and did a similar survey inside Amazon, got 29 responses, I didn't do any real effort for outreach

* Identify a few broad themes
* Take the transcripts
* Print them out
* Divide up the participants
* Bring scissors, cut things up
* Coordination

* if you arrange a time, open a topic

* Create 5-6 slots for next week
* Send out emails to Enow Scott plus folks from Rust Africa
