# How to add unlisted token on Metamask?

The number of token deployed on Ethereum mainent and other EVM compatible chains are in 1000s. This means not all tokens are possibly available to directly add on metamask.

Steps to add custom tokens:
**1. Click on asset and add click on add token**


**2. Click on custom tokens**


**4. Fill in the contract address of the token along with decimal and symbol. (Contract address of the token can be obtained from the block explorer like etherscan)**


**5. Click on next and the added token is shown in the list of asset.**
