## Details About Each Candidate
Candidates, sorted by geographical _areas_/regions:
### Americas
- Havana (Cuba)
- Oldest major city in Cuba, established 1515, granted city status in 1592 by Philip II of Spain as "Key to the New World and Rampart of the West Indies".
- Germán: Spanish (local) name is "La Havana". It feels weird to read this on H.
- The rule is to take the English naming, which seems to be Havana without La (it's La Havane in French too)
- > Germán: I understand that. That's why I said "weird" rather than incorrect.
