### Work environment -- the "AIS symbiosis"
* highly motivated group
* overlapping **and** complementary competencies
* flat hierarchical structure
* sound arguments before titles
* culture for sharing and caring
* co-teaching for competence & robustness
* room for career development
* **excellent collaboration with administration**
---
### Administrative and collaborative relations at NTNU
* AIS have worked deliberately since the merger with establishing good relations to parties outside IIR:
* the IE faculty
* on-campus administration and services
* other departments and units
* and...
---
* People in vital roles at IE administration (dean, prodeans, study administration, research council) and elsewhere (ITK, SEED, others) regularly express strong support for both IIR and AIS -- or at least that is how we interpret them :smirk:
* NTNU staff in these roles generally come across as highly competent colleagues with the best intentions for us
* Nuisances that might arise are related to "the system", not people!
---
