# Plan for Secondment - James Scott ### Chapter for the Turing Way *The Turing Way* is a living guide to reproducible research which is both value and practice aligned with *AutSPACEs.* There is a significant amount of learning from *AutSPACEs* which could be shared with a broad audience via. *The Turing Way.* This task would involve working closely with both the AutSPACEs research team and *The Turing Way* community to contribute a chapter to *The Turing Way.* over the course of the week long internship. ### Developing and finessing moderation work for a diverse audience The moderation workstream of AutSPACEs has produced a series of resources including guidelines for moderators and a co-created code of conduct. These are currently in paragraphed text and bullet format. This task would involve taking these resources and designing accessible, visually appealing versions of the information they contain which are suitable for a diverse autistic population. ### Work on moderation paper Key insights from the co-creation of the moderation protocols and resources for AutSPACEs will be turned into a research paper suitable for publication in an academic journal. We can use the week of the internship to kickstart the paper-writing process, by doing a literature review and creating a structure for the paper. This will involve co-working with moderation co-lead Susanna Fantoni, as well as the AutSPACEs research team to create a working structure which reflects key learning. ### Work on repository In advance of a new PI starting towards the end of October, and support from the Turing's Research Engineering Group in November, we are merging and remodelling AutSPACE's two GitHub repositories. The new repository will require careful and strategic structuring and accessible, clear READMEs, tagging using issues and milestones suitable for contributions from an open source community. The goal would be to improve the repository via. a series of PRs which will be reviewed by the project team.
