# Scribe Style Guide & Best Practices: Origin Stories & Freelancer Handbook Interviews
###### tags: `RaidGuild` `OS/FH RIP`
### Guiding Principles
* Always make RaidGuild sound good! We must avoid publishing negative criticisms, as these should remain internal.
* Help the interviewees sound like their best self! Shape the language to clarify their thoughts, ideas, and sentiments. Present them in the best possible light!
* Take creative agency to craft the text into a compelling document that you would enjoy reading.
### Tools & Procedures
1. Audio file will be available to edit in [Otter](https://otter.ai/). This first pass is performed by an AI that provides a strict verbatim transcription. The first editor will edit in Otter in order to take advantage of the synchronization with the audio and correct any incorrect words, make rough edits, and identify correct speakers.
2. The first editor will copy/paste the text into a grammar check. *What do we think about using a tool like Grammarly?*
3. After the Grammarly check, paste the text into Google docs for hand-off.
4. Second pass should feel free to take creative liberties to shape the text from chaotic oration to clean legible text.
5. The grammar-corrected text should be pasted into a new HackMD file. The second pass should focus on the larger composition, locating the breaks between projects (OS, FH, etc.), and integrating foundational markdown formatting.
6. The third pass of the text should focus on the details, readibility, natural flow, and clean up awkward sections in preparation for final publication.
7. The finalized text should be uploaded to the project repository and made accessible to the dev team for integration into the site.
