# Buidlfy DAO > This is the initial version of the DAO that the Buidlfy team is proposing. We will be doing more revisions and adding more members to our DAO. ## Motivation Buidly is a no-code tool to build dapps. In simple terms, it is a webflow for web3. Any builder can build their website and publish it to IPFS using Spheron. With this, we are also bringing an open and DAO-permission website template marketplace to the platform. The DAO members will maintain the marketplace. ## Working on DAO The Buidlfy DAO is an ECR721 NFT type. To participate in the DAO, a member must hold at least 1 BDC (Buidlfy Curators). Every member in the DAO will have only 1 BDC voting power, which means everyone has the same voting power till we introduce any ERC20-based delegation. (**need to check with manank on this**) Initially, we propose two roles within our DAO: - **Curator:** We initially proposed that all the members will work as a curator of the marketplace. The Curator will check the new Template, add a proposal, and vote on whether the Template is good enough to be in our platform marketplace. - **Proposer:** Any curator can act as Proposer as well. The primary responsibility of the Proposer is to create a proposal and provide all the Template details. Apart from curation, the DAO can manage treasury funds generated from commissions selling all the Templates in our marketplace. The DAO member can share proposals from any use of treasury funds which shall be voted on by the member and then executed on-chain. ## DAO Voting > The current voting details are based on the testnet version. > We have selected a short duration for each voting session to move faster. We will change the parameters once we go mainnet. > The DAO member can change these initial voting parameters by proposing them. The DAO will run each voting session for templates for 15 mins. We have divided proposal voting into 3 phases: - **Pre-voting phase** (**need to check the name from Manank**): This phase will start once the proposal is live on Tally and continue for the next 3 mins. This phase allows voters to read and research the proposal before voting for it. - **Voting phase**: In this phase, DAO members need to vote for the proposal, which will be live for the next 10 mins. - **Execution Delay**: The DAO will execute the proposal if the voting passes. There will be a 2 mins delay for everyone to prepare for the execution. The DAO needs to give a **30% Quorum** to pass a proposal. Every member has 1 BDC voting power, so we need at least 30% of members to agree to list it in the marketplace. ## Curator Incentive The team proposes to distribute **20% of the commission** made each quarter equally to all the curators based on the proposal they voted for that quarter. ## General Proposal Template, Rules, and Guidelines (v0.1) Suggesting an initial version of the Proposal template. Inspired by templates of other DAOs. ### Proposal Rules and Guidelines - Proposals can only be initiated by a Buidlfy DAO member ( Anyone who holds at least 1 Buidlfy DAO Token). - Template should be listed after a proposal is voted successful by the DAO - Before posting a template proposal for onchain voting, it is always advised to start an initial discussion on the Buidlfy discord server. - The Proposer should be ready to engage with the community, e.g., by answering their replies and addressing their concerns. ### Template #### Summary Please mention what type of Template it is in less than 200 words. #### Template Demo Link Please share a demo URL of the Template for curating the Template. #### Template NFT ID Please share the NFT id of the Template #### Creator Background Please share a brief about the creator's background and public profiles. #### Reason for listing to the marketplace We would love to know why you think we should list this Template on our marketplace. ## General DAO Guidelines - The team will elect the initial DAO members to start maintaining the template marketplace - The DAO member can vote out any other DAO member if they are inactive for more than one month - The DAO can kick out the Proposer of a template with NSFW or obscene content. - The DAO can kick out any inactive member of the DAO to create additional space for new members. The DAO needs to vote on a proposal to kick out any member from DAO. - The DAO member can only transfer their DAO token to someone else if they inform all the DAO members.
