# Iceberg/Ajantha Keith, While I would *definitely* like to see more projects clearly document their process and metrics for inviting someone to be a committer, it's not really the place of someone outside of an Apache project to demand an explanation of why a particular individual has, or has not, been made a committer. That's a decision delegated to the PMC. Granted, as a Member you have the ability to go look on their mailing list, and see what their reasons were. However, unless and until you are a PMC member on that project, you don't get a vote - none of us do. The board will only intervene in the governance of a project when there's clear evidence of mismanagement. Thus far, the board has not seen that. --Rich
