Towards a Really Boring Task Board

Dework Flow

  1. A member will submit a form with tasks that they think need to be fulfilled.
    • Alternatively, the member may wish to start their own work stream. This would involve crafting a proposal with a clear budget, submitting to the DAO forum to gather soft consensus, and then submitting the proposal on-chain for official voting.
  2. MolochDAO will hold a monthly Really Boring meeting with a clear, reoccurring purpose:
    • Sort through the submitted tasks and put them on the task board.
    • Sign payment txns for completed tasks.
    • Any necessary voting (soft, conducted during the meeting) on the direction of tasks and initiatives.
  3. Tasks are posted to the MolochDAO Dework board. Each task requires:
    • A clear articulation of final deliverable.
    • Links to any necessary resources.
    • Estimated amount of time.
    • Bounty reward in ETH.
  4. Anyone (even non-members) can pickup the tasks, encouraging ad hoc contributors from inside and outside of the DAO based on interest.
  5. Completed tasks are stacked in the Dework board, sent to the Really Boring Multisig during monthly Really Boring meetings, signed and executed to deliver payment, and moved to the archive.

Additional Considerations

  • Sweat equity will need to be reconsidered.
    • Currently happens through personal invitation and vetting. Should be standardized based on completed tasks, community reputation, skills offered in relatin to need, and clear voting mechanism.
    • DAOhaus is investigating a Govrn integration with Dework to track/accumulate/gamify social cred for ad hoc bounty hunters.
    • Policy could remain the same: 40hrs of work, submission of completed tasks, proposal on the forum to gather sentiment, on-chain proposal voted on by members.
