  • First rough draft March 21, 2022 Core Elements List RBG's accomplishments since the last funding round (summer 2021). Can be pulled from the annual report. Create a short list of objectives that we hope to accomplish over the next year. Includes an approximation of monthly ops budget based on a new set of priorities (listed below) in relation to historical costs. This number should be lower since our lift is lower. Grant might be deposited into the RBG multisig, used to fund ad hoc contributors. Alternatively, the funds might be bridged to xDAI to reduce gas and coordination costs for the group. • See BorrowLucid/handbook for in progress updates. https://molochdao.gitbook.io/handbook/vision-and-values/manifesto This is appropriated from another DAO handbook. I mimicked the form and changed the content to Moloch attitude. It has some blatant errors to reconsider: Moloch does not have investors. There are no VCs, no angels, no SPACs, and no SPVs that are pulling the strings in the background. Is this true?

  • 6. MolochDAO Fund Sustainability BACKUP Purpose of this Framework The goal of this analysis is to present a framework for allocating the MolochDAO treasury to the grant program. The amount the DAO should give away annually depends on the following: The desired goal of the DAO - would we like to expend funds quickly, or create a longer-term path for sustainability? The average price of ETH each year The DAO can look ahead, and evaluate these factors on an annual basis, setting a target amount to give away each year. This will inform the budget for each grant round, but will not restrict the DAO regarding the exact allocation of funds. Specifically, this analysis considers three main factors: (1) the yearly USD price increase of ETH, (2) the increase in grant budget as a proportion of the ETH price increase, and (3) the budget allocation to the ReallyBoringGuild (RBG), for managing MolochDAO's operations. The model starts from 2021 and runs until 2035.

  • Dework Flow A member will submit a form with tasks that they think need to be fulfilled. Alternatively, the member may wish to start their own work stream. This would involve crafting a proposal with a clear budget, submitting to the DAO forum to gather soft consensus, and then submitting the proposal on-chain for official voting. MolochDAO will hold a monthly Really Boring meeting with a clear, reoccurring purpose: Sort through the submitted tasks and put them on the task board. Sign payment txns for completed tasks.

  • Overview Each of the following are conceived as tasks ($6k each) but we might organize them into projects (3 @ $10k each) - we need clarity on the RG definition of these terms/scope. 5 tasks @ $6k/ea = $30k We will begin with $20k for the season3 sponsorship, with a portion dedicated to incentivizing MGD members to take up the projects Bonus for MGD (or female non-tech) Contributors Moloch will dedicate a small fund to incentivize female apprentices of RaidGuild to take on MolochDAO projects

  • We are progressively decentralizing. We are increasingly identifying discrete workstreams. Let's map our progress to synchronize while providing as much autonomy for individual contributors as possible. Agile Schedule TW proposes an agile method for our ongoing operations. Something like this: Mondays : Group Sync All of RBG meets to share the projects they are working on for the week Announce resources that we need from each other Organize meetings for individual work streams throughout the week

  • We need 2 separate messages - a positive and negative - to inform grantees of the likelihood of their proposals passing Your Proposal is Not Likely to Pass Hi, Thank you for submitting a proposal for this MolochDAO grants round. We received a variety of incredible submissions and are grateful to have you in the mix. We have asked DAO members to discuss each proposal. Unfortunately, we have not received positive responses to your application and wanted to give you that transparent feedback. At this point, we cannot guarantee it will be sponsored and/or pass. However, we do not want to block the opportunity for you to potentially be offered funding so we wanted to let you know that you are welcome to submit your proposal on-chain with the knowledge that DAO sentiment is low this round. Here are the instructions detailing the process.

  • Changes are made through PR (pull requests) Can designate multiple reviewers, akin to multiple signers on a multisig - this is a threshold that needs to be considered for efficiency Docusaurus allows for greater visual variables than Gitbook - requires some knowledge of CSS and React For policy changes: consensus is gathered on Discord, discussed internally, and relayed to reviewers to set alignment for how to review PR to the repo RBG needs to figure out how the reviewer submissions will work: who will we nominate? Let's pull in earth2travis and Amos (arentweall) to consult as well - they set up the DAOhaus docs. Do they use command line or the Github UI? Visual Design Elements for the Docusaurus Color Palette
