# Dev DAO Coordinape guide
Hey devs, this is a quick doc that goes over what Coordinape is, what we're using it for, what you need to know about it and how you can get started.

## What you need to do
1. Make sure you've submitted the [self-nomination form](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSexUwG0zxSkCcDFYvsHVuavI1lVVt-eGLKdwVfHzU-Aqvi_WQ/viewform) with the correct wallet address. This will add you to the circle.
2. Wait for the epoch to start [(timer here)](https://www.tickcounter.com/countdown/3109849/coordinape-epoch-starts). You will be given 100 GIVE.
3. Distribute your 100 GIVE to various members that you feel contributed to the DAO.

You can confirm that you've been added to the circle by going to the [Coordinape profile page](https://app.coordinape.com/profile/me) and making sure you see "Developer DAO" under the My circles section.


## What is Coordinape?
Coordinape is a tool that lets DAO members reward contributors in a democratic fashion. Think of it like decentralised payroll. You join a "circle", which is just a set of people who did work in the DAO. Everyone in the circle get's a fixed number of $GIVE tokens and you distribute these tokens to other members based on how much value you think they created.

## What are we using it for?
10% of our governance token $CODE (1,000,000) will be distributed to early contributors of the DAO using Coordinape. Each $GIVE token corresponds to a number of $CODE tokens. Our circle will be every D_D member eligible for the $CODE airdrop that has filled in the contribution Google form (linked below).

This means we'll hopefully have all active DAO contributors on Coordinape that are sort of "voting" on how many tokens should be granted to others.

Let's say you're given 100 GIVE tokens and think Dhaiwat is awesome. You could give him 20 out of your 100 GIVE tokens. Maybe you laughed at a meme I posted and you give me 10. At the end, Dhaiwat and I will get a corresponding % of the 1,000,000 $CODE tokens, based on how many GIVE tokens we have in total.

Let's say Dhaiwat ends up with 5% of ALL the $GIVE tokens that were given away. He would be given 5% of the 1,000,000 $CODE tokens available. (This is an example)

## What you need to know
We're running a week long circle for all early contributors on coordinape. If you're eligible for $CODE rewards, you need to join the circle and vote when the epoch starts. Doesn't matter if you haven't had the opportunity to contribute to the DAO yet! You should still join and vote!

You're eligible if you bought and held at least ONE Devs for Revolution NFT at the time of the snapshot (before block 13612670(Nov-14-2021 07:41:06 AM +UTC). Make sure you use the same wallet you hold that NFT in for coordinape.

The epoch begins at 3/7 at 12:00 AM UTC and will run for 7 days.
