--- tag: user testing --- # User Testing ## User (Personal Dashboard) Testing current and redredigned versions of the Raise user dashboard. This is where users manage their companies and portfolio on Raise and will become the common landing place for all new users once Raise's sign up/onboarding redesign has been implemented. - **What? :** User (Personal Dashboard) - **When? :** 3rd-16th May (30m-1h) - **Who? :** These tests should be run with internal team members, particularly those who help manage the onboard@getraise.io account. If you have the time, you can also test real users (get a mix of founders/investors). - Rushabh, Marvin, Tina, Shee, Sam, Ozi, Mata, Ben ### Interview Template The user testing sessions will run for roughly 30mins - 1 hour, and will consist of 2 flow reviews. These interviews should take place between May 3rd-16th in order to leave enough time for handoffs towards the end of the month. ***[You can find the template for the interviews here... ](https://hackmd.io/zY5li2buTZOuUqqzbSmtfA)*** This is just a rough guideline. It is important to note that each user is unique and you should somewhat run with the "vibe" of the interview and squeeze relevant information ### Extra Ideas if you get lost 1. The first flow will be the current Raise design - Begin taking feedback on what their thoughts are on this part of the application - How to navigate to and from companies - How they'd expect to see companies/portfolio - Profile - What's missing? - General feedback 2. Testing of new designs using this prototype - Ask the user to navigate between certain elements - What are their impressions? - What do they think should be included on a dashboard? - What's missing? - What would they change? 3. Tasks - Create a company - Find a company (onboard) - Find a Deal Room - View their portfolio ### Results You can find the [results and transcripts here](https://hackmd.io/lSfJQe1bRlqRvuxcvgqMug). ### Key Takeaways Here is a collection of the [key takeaways](https://hackmd.io/tMdZCCxaSmCrveujYHH1hw) from the User Dashboard testing. --- ## Primary Cap Table Testing Testing the current Build a Cap Table designs, used to help companies get verified during the onboarding process. The idea with this testing session is to ask users to give general feedback on what they'd expect to see in a Cap Table feature, motivations, frustrations, as well as marked areas of improvement. - **What? :** Build a Cap Table - **When? :** 17th-31st May (2 weeks), with each interview running ~30m-1h - **Who? :** These tests should be run with internal and external team members, particularly founders, lawyers, and legal secretaries. Make sure you are able to get a good mix of users that were able to successfuly complete their cap tables, as well as various users that failed. This should give a good idea of what works, what doesn't, and most importantly, where users need help. ### Interview Template ***[You can find the template for the interviews here... ](https://hackmd.io/WSkoGFllSxmvGtJ_OclcUA)*** This is just a rough guideline. It is important to note that each user is unique and you should somewhat run with the "vibe" of the interview and squeeze relevant information --- ## Secondary Cap Table Testing In this second and shorter series of usability testing sessions, we'd ask the same participants to compare the previous cap table designs to the redesigned version. The aim with this one is to take additional feedback on any redesigns and make sure they can be polished by the beginning on the following cycle (July).
