# Account & Billing
## Option 1
We bill users from within their personal dashboard. Users get access to a number of "tokens" that they assign to companies they manage/administrate. The tokens could be limited depending on what plan the user purchases.
To see how this option might work... see here (take a look at the "Members" tab):
https://dashkit.goodthemes.co/account-billing.html
### Upsides
- This option is good for users who manage multiple companies and don't wish to see a plan overview everytime they create a new company (e.g Adili)
- Manage all your billings in one place, one payment method for multiple companies
- Easily assign tokens to companies from within one place (as easy as an on/off switch)
### Downsides
- Could a user give premium access to one company at a time and then switch... e.g get their cap table verified by Raise, fundraise etc, and then change the premium access token to a second company and repeat the process...
- If I manage 3 companies, do those companies want to be billed separately for the sake of expenses/tax?
- What happens if the paying admin leaves the company?
### Edge Cases
- What happens if the paying admin leaves the company?
### Plans
- Free (Create unlimited companies w/o premium features)
- Premium (Up to 5 companies have access to premium features)
- Enterprise (Unlimited companies have access to premium features)

## Option 2
We bill users from within the company dashboard. Admins collectively manage the billing of a company's account and upload the payment details from within this dashboard.
### Upsides
- For founders/admins managing one company, or a couple of companies, this is the most convenient way to manage billing
- If an admin leaves the company, the payments don't have to stop (the company pays, not the individual)
- It's rare that founders will be creating huge amounts of companies, so they won't be bothered by the plans screen more than once or twice
### Downsides
- Enterprise companies (like Adili) have to fill out payment details multiple times, which becomes annoying and tedious to handle
- They also have to see the plans page 100 times, which gets annoying
### Edge Cases
- Founders/ICs who manage 1-10 companies, this gets frustrating for them... (same problem as law firms)
### Plans
- Free (No premium features)
- Premium (Some premium features)
- Enterprise (All premium features)
### Potential Resolutions
- We charge enterprises for a discount code (applied via company dashboards) for a certain number of companies
