Most projects launch a token then spend the money on whatever the hell they want, in the course of their daily operations. Of course the "plan" is always to build a thing, but many don't actually make it to the building part. As we have seen again and again, this doesn't work. Teams should not be asking for a blank check from the community and giving a vague timeline for maybe someday, building something sort of. Teams, DAOs or any group looking at tokenizing itself should be focused on creating value first *beyond ideation* and begin building whatever the community they serve needs. The raiders of RaidGuild have been building and shipping Web3 infra, tools, and educational experiences for the community since wayyyyyy back 2020 and we never saw the need for a token like we do at this moment. For starters there are literally so many things that you can do with a token that you can't do without one, in addition RadiGuild has a track record of building and serving the Ethereum community and through the tokenomics sourcery that we are known for we give you $RAID ## RAID: The utility token of RaidGuild So right about now you are probably asking: > **But why does RaidGuild need a token ?** And I shall answer your question with another question *"What matters more, having a token or what you do with it?"* We beleive the latter is far more important than the former and that with this token we will be able to play out many of our experimental project that will set RaidGuild on a path for Astroid Mining in the Andromeda Galaxy ☄ So let's get into what $RAID is going to be used for, why it was created, and how you can get involved with the launch of $RAID. ## Mo Clients, Mo Problems RaidGuild has scaled up incredibly fast over the past 18 months but we still fail to keep up with demand. Our inbound funnel for client request is overflowing with bull market ideas and YOLO projects that have the next big idea in DeFi. We get it, people are excited, they want to move fast, break shit and capital is clearly flowing. Yet without an increasing supply of Raiders joining our ranks those client requests grow stagnant or worse, they get rejected. **Use case #1** Stake $RAID to get on the top of our client funnel. Knowing that you care enough to hold our tokens means a lot to us and thus we want to give special attention to the people who believe in us enough to buy, steal, or otherwise accumulate $RAID tokens. **Use case #2** Spend $RAID on public goods projects built by the Guild. The RaidGuild devs have been building all kinds of infrastructure accross the ecosystem, from Escrow to Omnibridge, on xDai, Polygon, and beyond. The Guild delivers amazing and critical technology for Ethereum users and we want to continue doing that for years to come. **Use case #3** Vote with $RAID on projects you would like to the Guild create and together we can make it a reality ! Inside the Ethereum Ecosystem there are so many critical pieces of infrastructure that are needed to access on chain data, make dapps work, and interact with Smart Contracts. Things like Gnosis Safes, The Graph, Infura, all these things are maintained by teams of people and millions of dollars of capital each year. RaidGuild wants to continue expanding the ownership and the decentralization of essential infrastructure and ensure it is kept free and accessible for everyone who wants to build on Eth. **Use case #4** Fund more Guilders joining our ranks. Training, outfitting, and on-boarding fresh Web3 mercenaries ain't cheap or easy but through our Cohort program we have been able to activate a wide range of Ethereum curious developers, designers, and everything inbetween. With this influx of interest we can train the next 100, 1000, or even 1 million ~~developers~~ builders of Ethereum. ## The Final Countdown ⏰ We are getting very close to launch time, our distribution is almost sorted and our token allocation is being hammered out by the Paladins. We want to ensure that every client of the Guild, every ally we have get's a reasonable reward for contributing to the success of the RaidGuild.
