"Introducing Smart Invoice
Smart Invoice is a custom invoicing tool that allows service providers and clients to engage in a payment/provider relationship
Smart Invoice introduces several novel features we're excited to share with you.
*Thread Here:* 1/n First is the concept of "Milestones" where the service provider can specify between the start and end date of their invoice how many times they want to be paid. Milestones increase accountability and are useful for longer form commitments between service providers and their clients'
2/n Smart Invoice is uniquely trustless. In the case work is not completed by the provider, or conversely the client has not made payment, either party has the ability to lock the funds held by smart invoice. If either party triggers the lock function, smart invoice enters a dispute, where resolution is offered by a third party adjudicator i.e LexDAO or any Ethereum Address.
3/n Several additional features of Smart Invoice are:
- `safety-valve withdraw date` which specifies the date by which the client is allowed to withdraw their funds from their smart invoice should the provider ghost π» them
4/n - `Recover funds sent to Smart Invoice` If a client sends funds directly to their smart invoice by accident π π½ββοΈ, they have the ability to recover those funds at their own discretion
5/n - `deposit full amount or by milestone` allows the client full discretion over how they want to make payments to the service provider.
6/6 Smart Invoice was Built with β€οΈ by Raid Guild βοΈ

Invoices suck :persevere:
You send an invoice when you finish your work, and then you wait (sometimes 30+ days!) to get paid. You have to trust that your client actually has the money and will not decide to just ghost you even if they do :ghost:
[...]
Invoices work this way because the (traditional) alternative isn't much better: client pays upfront, and then has to trust that the service provider will deliver.
Imagine how much more work could get done if clients and service providers weren't locked in this weird trust dance!
[...]
Smart Invoice turns traditional invoices on their head π
a) Smart Invoices are sent at the beginning of the project instead of the end
b) Client pays up front so service provider knows the money exists
c) Funds remain in escrow and aren't released until work is delivered

[...]
d) If there's a dispute, funds are locked and sent to arbitration
@lex_DAO is the first built-in arbitration provider in Smart Invoice. More will be added soon.
[...]
And of course, Smart Invoice is built on web3 tech, so payments are secure, fast, and cheap (especially on @xdaichain)

* Including wiring up Airtable
* Add a splitter contract to handle spoils
#### Questions
- in which repo should the new escrow app live?
- Smart Invoice vs RG Escrow
### Training and user research
* Update documentation / handbook guide
* Group and individual learning sessions
* usability test script/formula to follow in each session
* treat the tests as moderated usability test
* not a lot of questions upfront; observe
* follow-up at the end with the training / explanation
* cohort season0 clerics are good people to start with
* start with 3-5
* eventually ensure that every cleric and monk has been trained
