# Quadratic Yeeter + Inverted Precedent
- [Santiago's Explorations](https://hackmd.io/t4j1WuVMStSON6nJSz8Exg?both)
- [Quadratic Yeeter]()
Spoke to Kyle at MCON 3 in Detroit. He is finalizing and MoU with the ECF. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1MfTxnCvXFJmLoBPQhDEWBOxgmajlnsLk4cnDU0-WqH4/edit?usp=drivesdk
He is currently in [ZuVillage Georgia](https://zuvillage-georgia.framer.website/) and they want to use this tool as a funding protocol.
> For C), @earth2travis of RaidGuild with LexClinic at ZuVillage will build out the inverted-precedent QF yeeter. He will meet with the ECF team to determine SoW details. Inverted-precedent slides here https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1_HPNveP2uxuWD4CNOuKuNy4vMoGdC6NVNTZ24IhVLlE/edit?usp=drivesdk. By using yeeter, donaters can rage quit their donations and QF matching if they don't agree with the opinions shared in spending proposals.
## Call With Kyle on Tuesday, October 15 2024
His baby that he needs to demo is adding inverted-precedent voting to a DAOhaus style interface using Moloch contracts. Inverted precedent is how the Supreme Court works.
He would like a proposal from RaidGuild. They are ready to sign the MoU which is a non-binding agreement. They do no currently have a timeline or budgets but would like to attach the scope of work to the MoU. He needs how much it will cost and how long we think it will take.
There are three projects he is seeking funding for from the ETH community.
These updates may require some contract changes.
### Quadratic Yeeter
1% should go to a unique wallet.
Have all Yeets matched like GitCoin rounds.
This will also need to handle ragequit. When someone ragequits they are returned their percentage of the treasury. The portion that was quadratically matched should go to a fund pool (separate address).
### Inverted Precedent Moloch Voting
This will require adding an abstain option to the current yes no Moloch style voting. It will also require a field for the voter to enter a comment about their position and why they voted the way they did. This can be used to influence future decisions.
The opinion at first may only need to be a link to a IPFS document.
Majority, concurring, and dissenting opinions can be written after a vote is decided.
Each decision is a unique IPFS hash.
Every vote has to refer to a hash. The winner is the most references to the same hash.
Will be able to determine weaker and stronger precendent.
Every opinion is new unless the same decision has been made before.
Right now it can just be a fork of DAOhaus Admin. Would like to build a custom branded interface in the future.
The first team to use the tool will be lawyers. They will be able to show others how it is done.
All new DAOs launched from the quadratic yeeter should have this functionality.
---
The Vitalik rounds are usually around $100k
He has a 2 minute presentation to give and will need the proposal by November 1.
## Internal Meetings

Two Projects
[Miro Board](https://miro.com/app/board/uXjVLMMnjT4=/?share_link_id=400969383828)
#### Questions
- What is the connection between these two projects?
- Why do they make sense together?
#### Thoughts
- Lots of work
- Needs design
- Two teams probably best
- Will be cool to support the ZuVillage and the Ethereum Community Fund
- Can use our tools to help standardize and improve process
#### Quadratic Yeeter
##### Flows
- Create Round
- Add Pool
- Add Projects
##### Thoughts
- Integrate Allo with Yeeter capabilities
- Adds ragequit features
- Provides registry
- Pool for funds allocation
- Matching funds go into separate non-ragequitable safe
##### Questions
- Are these organized by rounds?
- Will all projects in a round have the same voters?
- Is there a matching pool for the entire round?
- How does matching work with shares?
- Do you want people who Yeet to receive voting shares?
- How does ragequit before execution impact the matching distribution?
##### Research
- How much can we use from Allo?
##### Concerns
- Sybil Resistance
##### Needs
- Better understanding of quadratic yeeting mechanics
- Dashboard for round administration
- Ability to attach projects to a round
- Contracts for creating rounds
##### What excites us about Quadratic Yeeter?
- Cool combo of Moloch and Allo
- Ragequit
- Adding unruggability to quadratic rounds
- Ability to pulling back contributions increases accountability
- Multiple rounds of Yeeters competing against other is cool
- Each project is promotion other projects in round
- People may be more likely to donate to multiple rounds
- Parent Moloch DAO
- Subdaos for Yeeter projects
- Shared standards of governance
#### Inverted Precedent
##### Flows
- Select Existing Opinion
- Add New Opinion
- Vote (Yes, No, Abstain)
##### Thoughts
- First group of operators will be lawyers
- Makes sense for a higher level of governance
- Main and concurring opinions are not the decisions
- Baal contract only has Yes, No voting
- Abstain Shaman could be added to other Moloch v3 DAOs
- They would need a custom interface
- Poster contracts are probably not enough
- Attach the post ID to vote and index it
- May also need extra indexing on Abstain Shaman
- IPFS hash to concur on existing opinions with yes, no, abstain
- Every vote will not have its own opinion
- Can choose from existing opinions
- Will need to choose or add new opinion before voting
##### Questions
- Do the Yeeter project DAOs need to use this type of governance?
- What is the jurisdiction?
- Who is voting?
- Are the precedents tied to the project DAO or a higher level organization?
- Does the opinion need to be added before the vote?
- Can votes be accompanied by several IPFS opinions?
- How does abstain impact quorum?
##### Research
- Do we need to fork Baal?
- Or should it just be a shaman?
- Can we track votes in a governor Shaman?
- How will we use IPFS to generate the hash?
- How will we connect opinions to votes onchain?
- Are we conflating judiciary and legislature?
##### Concerns
- May be too much overhead for operations at the project level
- There may be side effects on how votes are counted
- Understand how shares and loot are impacted
- Not just a fork of DAOhaus Admin
- Avoid major changes to Baal
##### Needs
- Abstain Shaman contract
- May need to fork subgraphs
- Solution for IPFS hashes
- For two-step voting process
- Audit of new contracts
##### What excites us about Inverted Precedent?
- Have wanted to add comments to voting for a while
- Why someone votes a certain way has been missing
- Insights into why propoals arepasing or failing
- Feedback will help build identity with reasons why they are funding
- Forces communication
- Larger cross-dao shared decisions and reasoning
- Can bind reasoning to other organizations you are aligned with
- Common law system for DAOs
- Comments & history of what matters to individuals will improve delegation
- Having the precedents from and organization will improve alignment
- This will improve individuals and organizations profiles onchain
- Delegates do not seem to follow a standard
- It is hard to understand what delegates stand for
- This will help make values more explicity
- A jurisprudential record will promote consistency and fairness
