# Service Payment Escrow with Aragon Court Arbitration
## Project Description
Raid Guild is a DAO-managed cooperative of web3 freelancers. When clients hire us, they pay the project team directly. We are currently building an internal escrow tool to enable additional protections to the Guild and to our clients. With this new tool, clients would first deposit into the escrow, and then release funds to the project team as project milestones are reached.

This grant proposal is to integrate arbitration services from Aragon Court into the escrow tool, and to sufficiently build out the tool so it can be used by other DAOs or organizations that accept payment from clients.
## Summary of the project
### Proposal Description
We propose to research, design, and build an escrow service that uses Aragon Court for arbitration. The service will consist of a (set of) smart contract(s) accessible via a web3-enabled web application, and will be able to be used by any DAO or other type of organization that performs services for and accepts payments from clients.

Our proposal has two stages, to be paid out sequentially.

#### Stage 1: Research and Design
The deliverable from this stage will be a detailed specification of what will build in Stage 2, based on research into how best to integrate Aragon Court into our existing escrow service.

#### Stage 2: Build and Distribute
In this stage, we will implement the specification from Stage 1 and make the resulting application available to other DAOs.

### Proposal Rationale
This proposal will benefit the DAO ecosystem by enabling DAOs to enter into more trusted relationships with clients. It will also benefit ANT holders and Aragon Court by growing the addressable market for Aragon Court's services.
