### General
- Initial funding from DFINITY
- Prepped for another grant (undisclosed amount) that they want to dedicate to visual design expertise = UX research + UI design.
- Have utilized a freelance UX person for the first pass, but they were hired fulltime elsewhere.
- They want a more thought out solution in terms of branding and design.
- Already have lots of internal iteration, discussion, thinking. Have taken it as far as they can regarding mechanics, but now they need to translate it into an experience that people want to use.
- Three components:
- Branding: just spent a week ideating the puzzle logo
- Wants it to feel thought out and professionally established: "a solid foundation to build on"
- UI
- UX research
- Julie is a newcomer to Factland, but does have experience with software development. She sees a challenge for Factland: when you come to the site, one doesn't necessarily know what they are supposed to do.
- UX needs attention. Biggest challenge is finding information on the site:
- results of juries
- categories to search to discover what has been decided on
- some UI/front end bugs
- wants to see the whole site gamefied

### Potential Date for a Scope Sprint
- September 18-22nd

### Possibly budget for UX research
- $50k total grant to play with
- Initially thinking $10k for design + $40k for token launch
