# Raid Guild HQ in CryptoVoxels

## Background

CryptoVoxels may be the best choice of VR world for a Raid Guild headquarters given its first mover advantage in the space, active user base/traffic and growing feature set.

One might argue eventually some presence across the “metaverse” may be ideal in time (Sandbox next as we’ve approved 1 ETH for an estate, perhaps DCL eventually).

Some see VR worlds as “the new social network” but in a web3/internet of value context “having a page” signals status. Blockchain based VR worlds are not just a social network however, but an immersive marketplace with use cases yet to be fully realized.

add: And lastly: since scarcity is a feature--not a bug--”virtual estate” opportunities might be valuable from a financial perspective, let alone an early adopter one.

## The purposes of having HQs in VR worlds includes:

* A professional, on-brand presence
* Positions us as a forward-thinking group
* Allows us to showcase past work and capabilities
* Serves as a lead generation tool with Discord button
* A new way to find/onboard talent to the Guild
* Place to host education sessions and live streams
* Possibly a test bed for in-world scripting services offering
* Parcel may appreciate in value
* An investment that is most likely valuable and with a fair chance to increase in value
* Opportunity to explore the space and, maybe, invent new ways to onboard people
* Get our creative juices flowing and get to know the art community better, if only for the wide perspective

## Ideas for a theme for the build include:

* A Fortress
* The Basement from Grandma's boy
* A maze/theme park with the prize at the end being the invite to the Discord channel
* A chest with a Discord gem inside
* Video mapping on a virtual building could be the actual 3d mapping in real time. On a loop. And of course pixelized

* A Knights of the Round Table.. table
