--- tags: RIPs, Dungeon Master --- # Dungeon Master v1.5 # Project Submitted By jp & Scottrepreneur ## Summary This RIP is to build *Dungeon Master v2* with an emphasis on features that enhance Dungeon Master as a **Moloch Hunter's tool**. We'll also be experimenting with using Clarity ([Clarity Project Board](https://app.clarity.so/raid-guild/work/2)) to manage the project feature cards/issues. We'll assign each feature a specific bounty amount, and multiple folks can work on this project. In addition to the actual buildout of v2 features, we'll be creating processes for contribution and bounty management. ## Why should we build this? Dungeon Master v1 focused on creating a functional share-gated tool that replaced our Airtable for Raid management. With the upcoming [Moloch Hunter RIP](https://github.com/raid-guild/RIPs/issues/85) this is an ideal time to enhance Dungeon Master. The current version is stable and working for the primary purpose of providing insight into Raid lifecycles. This enhancement adds new functionality providing additional visibility into Raids, allowing for more folks to identify Moloch sightings and intercept them before they grow into larger issues. Additionally, this is an opportunity for us to experiment with using Clarity to manage RIP payouts in the form of bounties. This structure can be used as funded work for the Season 3 and Season 4 apprentices. ## Work Structure and Process We've identified key features for v2 based on initial Guild feedback. We've added these features to the [Clarity Project Board](https://app.clarity.so/raid-guild/work/2) and have begun adding more detailed scoping and speccing. This is an ideal opportunity for us to test out how Clarity fits into the Guild as a RIP management/payout tool. At this point, we think we could take the total RIP budget and fund a treasury pool that can be used for funding the bounty payouts on each card in Clarity. Instead of a single Warrior working and earning the total RIP payout, instead we're proposing that each card has a specific bounty (based on the scoping) that can be claimed by cohort apprentices. We'll be working closely on this project and focusing on the highest priority issues, but we wanted to use this as an opportunity for more folks to work on this, since it's a tool that is important for the entire Guild. If the highest priority issues aren't being completed, we'll focus on completing these ourselves. ## Deliverables - Dungeon Master v2 feature set - Processes around how the Guild can use Clarity to manage RIP payouts for multiple contributors ## Raid Party Skills Needed - Warrior - Warrior and Warrior apprentices from Season 3 and upcoming Season 4 - Monk(s) - Additional scoping and speccing for the feature, and assiging specific bounties to the cards - Create the structure and processes for Guild contribution to the DM codebase - Manage the overall project and the Clarity issue progress and payouts ## Cost (in USD) - TBD
