# Intro Each Pokemon species has a different base carry limit. Evolving Pokemon adds an extra carry limit of `5 x (evolve count)` on top of the base carry limit. If the Pokemon is caught in evolved form, the carry limit bonus from evolution is automatically applied. For example: - If you caught a [Pikachu] directly from a sleep session, ignoring its [subskills] and [natures], its carry limit is 22 (17 + 5). - If you caught a [Pichu] from a sleep session, the carry limit is 10. Evolving it to [Pikachu] changes the effective carry limit to 22 (17 + 5). Further evolving it into [Raichu] changes the carry limit to 31 (21 + 5 x 2). Carry limit of a Pokemon individual (not species) is mainly affected by [subskills]. Activating [GCT] also increases carry limit. For the actual multiplier number, check the [GCT] guide. For the actual carry limit calculation formula, check [Carry Limit Formula]. # Getting / Using Carry Limit Data Upon new Pokemon releases, our site updates these stats as soon as possible.
