It's as easy as it sounds: you sleep, then wake up. You can use either your phone, Go++, or supported smartwatches to track your sleep.
# Mechanics
The game grabs your sleep record from the tracking device and categorizes it as **slumbering, snoozing, or dozing**, then calculates the overall sleep type for the session.
In addition, you will see a blue number and a circle for each sleep session. This is called [Sleep Score]. Without any event, you get the same amount of [Sleep Point] as your [Sleep Score]. All the team members you slept with also get the same amount of [Sleep Score] as Pokémon EXP.
Sleep type is important because it directly impacts Pokémon sleep style spawns, as all Pokémon are bound to just one sleep type.
> For example, if you had a **snoozing** sleep, Treecko would not appear because Treecko is a **dozing** Pokémon.
> To check a Pokémon's sleep type, visit [Pokedex](https://pks.raenonx.cc/en/pokedex) and filter by sleep type, or check the Pokémon info page directly.
Normally, all sleep style spawns match the sleep type of the sleep session. However, some events apply a modifier so only a certain percentage of the spawns match the actual sleep type. The [event info] pages on our website show if this modifier is active. As of 2025/11/13, only 30% or 40% appeared, with 30% being the recent norm.
# Tips & Tricks
- If you are tracking using your phone, it's recommended to keep it charging. The game had a past record of draining the battery, but it's better now. A relatively new iPhone drains about 8% per night without charging.
- Some Pokémon have an evolution condition requiring a certain number of sleep hours, generally 150 hrs.
- Only 13 hrs max are recorded as time slept with Pokémon. So it requires at least 12 days of full sleep to satisfy the condition if it requires 150 hrs.
- It's generally **NOT** recommended to do 2 sleeps even if the game allows it. Sleep style spawn rewards are heavily reduced after the 11th spawn as of 2025/11/13.
- If you forgot to log the sleep or the game didn't register it, you can manually add it in the game menu. However, it won't allow you to see Pokémon.
# Fake Sleep
:::warning
Some sleepers consider this cheating, so if this is not what you like, skip reading this.
:::
As a disclaimer, although we haven't seen anyone banned for doing this, we **DO NOT** hold responsibility for anything caused by it.
This is for whoever prefers to just play the game rather than actually tracking their sleep, and doesn't care about the sleep type.
This also allows precise control of sleep duration, achieving something like 99 + 1 in terms of [Sleep Score].
## Steps
1. Start the sleep measurement / Use your phone for tracking
2. After seeing the team leader's sleep style, go to phone settings
3. Cut internet connection off by going into flight mode without enabling any network connectivity, then **set the time** to whenever you want to end the sleep measurement
4. Go back to the game and end the sleep measurement
5. Terminate the game, and open it **only after real time has passed** the time you set in step 3.
