# Intro
Energy is a critical mechanic in the game.
Energy has the following traits:
- Represented with a number ranging from 0% to 150%.
- Internally handled with an additional decimal point, although not shown in the game.
- Bound to individual Pokemon. The current energy can be seen by:
- Tapping the Pokemon in the field. Different face colors represent different energy %. See the [multiplier table] for reference.
- Going into the Pokemon detail page and checking the number at the left of the Pokemon. Shows exact number in %.
- Fluctuates throughout the day. See [How to Recover] / [How it Loses].
- Impacts the actual [helping frequency] of a Pokemon at a certain moment. Different energy % maps to different multipliers applied to the [helping frequency].
- Energy recovery amount a Pokemon receives can be impacted by either [subskills] and [natures].
# How to Recover
Energy can be recovered by methods including but not limited to those below.
Except for sleeping, every other method can recover energy up to 150% instead of 100%.
## Sleep
Sleeping recovers the amount of energy equal to the [Sleep Score]. The recovery happens when the player "wakes up."
The recovery goes up to 100% max, meaning that if you slept from 80% energy and obtained 50 [Sleep Score], the energy when you wake up is 100% instead of 130%.
## Recovery Skill
Some main skills recover energy. The community sometimes refers to them as "healers."
[Energy for Everyone] ([E4E]) is the most commonly used main skill for recovering energy.
### Recovery Feedback Loop
Using energy recovery skills can start a positive feedback loop. Given how [Pokemon Helps] works with [Helping Frequency] and how energy affects the actual [helping frequency], the more energy the team and healer have, the more recovery skills can be triggered, therefore the more energy.
To start a positive feedback loop, the total recovery needs to be at least 44 because you can recover at most 100 energy a day, and you lose 144 throughout the day.
## [Energy Pillow]
This is an in-game item for recovering 50% energy.
It's mainly used for rushing Snorlax Strength and is not a sustainable way of recovering energy.
## Cooking
Recovery from cooking is relatively smaller. The amount also depends on the energy before cooking. Here's the table listing the actual recovery amount as of 2025/11/14:
Energy before Cooking | Recovery Amount
:---: | :---:
0 ~ 20.9 | 5
21.0 ~ 40.9 | 4
41.0 ~ 60.9 | 3
61.0 ~ 80.9 | 2
81.0 ~ 149.9 | 1
# How it Loses
Energy decreases anytime in the day. It decreases by 1 per 10 minutes. It keeps decreasing even if you are asleep.
In addition, if you have [Darkrai] on the team, triggering [Bad Dream] also decreases energy by 12 as of 2025/11/14.
# Multiplier Table
This shows the relationship between the face indicating energy, the corresponding range, and its multiplier applied to [helping frequency].
> The [helping frequency] multiplier bracket is not shared with any other multipliers, making it even more impactful. Check [helping frequency] for the actual formula.
Face | Energy Range | [Helping Frequency] Multiplier | Production Efficiency
:---: | :---: | :---: | :---:
 | 80.0 ~ 150.0 | 0.45 | $\frac{1}{0.45} \approx 2.222$
 | 60.0 ~ 79.9 | 0.52 | $\frac{1}{0.52} \approx 1.923$
 | 40.0 ~ 59.9 | 0.58 | $\frac{1}{0.58} \approx 1.724$
 | 20.0 ~ 39.9 | 0.66 | $\frac{1}{0.66} \approx 1.515$
 | 0.0 ~ 19.9 | 1 | $1$
# Strategies
- [Energy Pillow] is sometimes used as a "pseudo-healer" for players going all in on raising Snorlax in that particular week, as healers generally produce less.
- Most players always have 1 [E4E] healer on their team to keep energy high throughout the day.
- Some players use 2 healers if their calculations indicate it's better.
- We recommend checking our guide about [how to evaluate a Pokemon] for finding the best healer, and [team building] guide for how the players would arrange their healers.
# Useful Site Features
[Energy Curve Analysis] on our site helps visualize how energy goes throughout the day and its multipliers. If you are still confused after reading this guide, we recommend experimenting with [Energy Curve Analysis] to get a better picture.
