# Intro
This is the probability of rolling berry / ingredient / skill, a key metric determining the strength of a Pokemon species besides the helping frequency.
Production rates differ based on Pokemon species. Even if it's on the same evolution line, evolving it would alter their production rates.
The ingredient % and the skill % are determined based on the RP formula. Once ingredient % is known, berry % is just `1 - (ingredient %)`.
These probabilities are **NOT** visibly available in the game. We will not expand on how exactly it is calculated here because it is actually quite complicated. For most of the players, knowing that production rates impacts a Pokemon's strength is enough.
The [production rates] of a Pokemon individual (not species) is mainly affected by [subskills] and [natures]. Pokemon Level and [energy] does **NOT** change the production rates, but evolving **does**.
# Relationship between specialty and the production rates
As of 2025/11/14, Pokemon species are mainly categorized into 3 specialties: berry / ingredient / skill.
Each Pokemon has a specialty. This can be seen in one of the following ways:
- Tweak what to show in [Pokedex] to see
- Check the Pokemon individual info page
- Check the pokemon detail screen in game, located at the top-right.
In general, the production rates will match the specialty as in ingredient specialists will have higher ingredient %. Same for berry and skill.
# Getting / Using Production Rates Data
Upon new Pokemon releases, our site updates these stats as soon as possible.
We are currently **the first-hand source** of these stats. This is hard to get, and it requires actually catching a Pokemon. If you want to source our data, we kindly request you to properly credit us so the work our team has done does not go in vain. See [crediting] regarding our statement.
